The guide was experienced, pleasant, and very knowledgeable. We were driven through one of the most beautiful places on the planet. We learned so much about Navajo culture from a native of Canyon Chelly, our guide. We had a wonderful time, too short, next time we will book a longer tour.

Overview

Explore the Canyon de Chelly area with a certified guide who is from the region to get an insider’s take on the history and sites. From the first moment we met Viola she made us very comfortable. Viola, waked us through the history of the canyon. It was very special to be with someone who grew up in the canyon, sharing stories of her family. We saw ruins you would never see if you didn’t take this tour. We felt very honored to be able to see all that the canyon contains through the eyes of a tribal member. We recommend this tour with 5 stars!

Beautiful tour through the canyon

Sunitha_B, Apr 2026
Our guide Autumn was amazing! Her family is from the canyon - having grown up in the canyon, Autumn had a wealth of knowledge and personal stories to share. We met her family and her neighbors too! The canyon itself was beautiful! After a few days of Monument valley and the like, the cottonwood trees against the canyons red sandstone were such a refreshing sight! We took the 1pm tour, and got really lucky with the weather- it was pleasant and cool.

Fabulous and fun.

Amazing Canyon

Daniel_B, Mar 2026
Book in advance and be cognizant of the weather conditions and the fun but rough ride. Bring plenty of water, maybe snacks and be respectful of the land, the culture and the people. Jarvin was a top notch guide and host. He did everything possible to fulfill even the smallest of our needs. Once completed, plan to do the South Rim self-drive and take in the aerial view. A Can't Miss combination.

3 Hour College Credits

Bruce_R, Dec 2025
Extremely educational—learned more from this tour than many 3 hour credit classes I took in college. Leander was outstanding—passionate, intelligent and high character with many, many stories. I highly recommend Beauty Way Jeep Tours.

Great afternoon exploring American Indian culture! Beautiful canyon and fascinating history. Being in the jeep allowed us to cover a lot of ground in three hours

Amazing insider look!

Anna_S, Oct 2025
We had such a wonderful day with Daniel! He shared so many fascinating insights about the canyon, its history, and the people who lived there. Even beyond the incredible archaeological sites, what made the day truly special was Daniel’s willingness to share his own stories, spirituality, and songs. We laughed a lot and felt so comfortable asking to stop for photos whenever we wanted. He took us to some truly meaningful places he’s known since childhood—it felt like seeing the canyon through a friend’s eyes. Highly recommend this experience!

Canyon de Chelly with Beauty Way Tours

Jerry_H, Oct 2025
Our tour was with John of Beauty Way Tours. John was excellent from start to finish. We were given much information about Canyon de Chelly, the Navajo culture, history of both. We have taken this tour several times, our friends have never before. They thought it was outstanding. This is an experience not to be missed.

Awesome to see the canyon...

JudithM_M, Oct 2025
Awesome to see the canyon from the base and learn about the guides personal family that lives there. Went there in 2007 and now 2025 and it has changed. Not as many people live in the canyon and there is a lot more invasive vegetation there but still beautiful. Our guide Jarvin is definitely interested in sharing the traditions, beauty, and history culture from Canyon de Chelly. Our kids 11 and 6 said it was one of their favorite highlights of the trip. Like that the school teaches the culture traditions in addition to the standard school curriculum.

The canyon in the rain.

Wear boots. We went in the rain and had a covered vehicle. And an accomplished driver/guide. It was a good experience.

Outstanding way to both see and learn about a unique and special place. The native guide shared a perspective that you can’t get on your own. We saw place the regular public can’t go to.
