Very informative about not only the canyon and its history, but also about the Navarro Nation.
Our guide war the companies son who was very personable with many interesting stories and anecdotes.
My family and I definitely recommend this guided tour.

our guide
Daniel was a very nice guy... it was very hot and dusty (no fault of his), but we had him turn around about an hour into the tour. My friend was not feeling well.
Response from Host, Jun 2026
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and for your kind words about Daniel. We’re glad to hear you found him to be a nice guide, and we’re very sorry your friend wasn’t feeling well and that you needed to turn back early.
The heat and dust can definitely be challenging in June/July, and guest comfort and well‑being are always our top priorities. The Jeep was enclosed to help protect guests from the strong winds that afternoon, with gusts up to 30 mph, and the air conditioning was working throughout the tour. If you’re ever back in the area, we’d love the chance to host you again under more comfortable conditions—perhaps with an earlier or later tour time when it’s cooler.
Please feel free to reach out to us directly so we can help plan a tour that’s a better fit for you next time.

The canyon is more glorious when one is taken through it with stories, kindness and a personable guide. Even with the wind blowing sand all around us, the experience was comfortable, the guide being very careful with the steering and the sand being so soft.

Our guide John was very knowledgeable. He had some great stories and information. We were comfortable with his driving through the canyon
Daleen_F, Jun 2026
The guide was knowledgeable but not very engaging. She provided snacks for herself only. She didn’t get out of the car with my husband just told him where to go and look at things.
Response from Host, Jun 2026
Thank you for your feedback. We will work with our guide to make our trips more engaging so that visitors can fully enjoy the canyon’s beauty and archaeological sites.
Regarding snacks, we ask guests to bring their own to help prevent waste. In the past, we provided snacks, but due to allergies and many items being left unfinished, it became challenging for us to continue offering them.
We’re glad you found our guide knowledgeable. She shared that you preferred to stay in the Jeep because of a previous knee surgery, and that your husband wanted to take photographs, so she pointed out places he might like to see. For safety reasons, we don’t leave the Jeep running with the A/C on while unattended, which made it difficult for her to be in multiple places at once.
Again, thank you for booking with us and for taking the time to share your feedback.

Ariana was a great guide! We truly enjoyed our three hour tour and she made sure to make the most of the shorter time. Meeting the family was a bonus! We even got to listen to a song by Jeriah, the Navajo Flute player. What a nice young man! Thanks again for a great time!

We thought 3 hours would be plenty. It wasn't!!! Be sure to book a minimum of 4 hours. We also thought the ride would be very rough. It wasn't at all. Yes, there were soft sandy spots and a few holes, but all and all it was a great adventure and the jeep we where in was very comfortable.

Very educational and enlightening. Our guide, Benjamin, offered so much information and tribal knowledge and history.
Gary_C, May 2026
This is a wonderful experience albeit a rough ride. Our tour guide Ben, our Navajo was excellent. Very knowledgeable and open to questions about the canyon.
Jim_A, May 2026
Need additional $30 for Tribal entry to the canyon. Guide Arianna was very intersting and provided excellent information on Navajo life in Canyon De Chelly.

Perfect trip! On-time pickup at our hotel (very convenient) Then escorted us through Park registration real helpful.
Clean vehicle and skillful driving.
So knowledgeable about everything in the canyon, our guide grew up in the canyon and currently lives there. We enjoyed the history and culture that she shared. Allowing time to stop and get out to take it all in. Many, many pictures and much laughter.
I cannot express how memorable and enjoyable this was for all.
Highly recommend this tour with this company!

Great guide, knew so much about the inhabitants of the canyon. Good humor and free with local recommendations. Highly recommend Beauty Valley Jeep tours.
Scott_S, May 2026
Very fun experience. We had a private tour and were driven all around Canyon de Chelly. We got a little bit of history, a little bit of geology, a little bit of culture. It had everything. I would recommend this tour.

We had an amazing tour through the bottom of Canyon de Chelly, led by our amazing guide, Sylvia. She had a brand new 4-wheel drive Jeep that she expecting drove through the deep sand and potholes that made up the canyon floor. A warning...you do bounce back and forth as you are moving along! Sylvia showed us so many cliff dwelling ruins, interpreted the numerous pictographs found on the rock walls, and gave us an extended lesson on Navajo history from ages past. It was way more than we expected and we were so impressed and thankful. It was a unique experience and so much better than having to just observe the canyon from the rim drives. We highly recommend taking the time to do this.

Leander is the owner of Beauty Way Tours and was our guide. Very personable and very knowledgeable. Great experience.
Douglas_S, Apr 2026
Our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable of the area. Where she actually grew up in the canyon she was able to give us an insight to what life was like in the canyon. We highly recommend this tour
Rob_R, Apr 2026
From the first moment we met Viola she made us very comfortable. Viola, waked us through the history of the canyon. It was very special to be with someone who grew up in the canyon, sharing stories of her family. We saw ruins you would never see if you didn’t take this tour. We felt very honored to be able to see all that the canyon contains through the eyes of a tribal member. We recommend this tour with 5 stars!
Sunitha_B, Apr 2026
Our guide Autumn was amazing! Her family is from the canyon - having grown up in the canyon, Autumn had a wealth of knowledge and personal stories to share. We met her family and her neighbors too!
The canyon itself was beautiful! After a few days of Monument valley and the like, the cottonwood trees against the canyons red sandstone were such a refreshing sight! We took the 1pm tour, and got really lucky with the weather- it was pleasant and cool.
Brian_D, Apr 2026
The guide was experienced, pleasant, and very knowledgeable. We were driven through one of the most beautiful places on the planet. We learned so much about Navajo culture from a native of Canyon Chelly, our guide. We had a wonderful time, too short, next time we will book a longer tour.
Daniel_B, Mar 2026
Book in advance and be cognizant of the weather conditions and the fun but rough ride. Bring plenty of water, maybe snacks and be respectful of the land, the culture and the people. Jarvin was a top notch guide and host. He did everything possible to fulfill even the smallest of our needs. Once completed, plan to do the South Rim self-drive and take in the aerial view. A Can't Miss combination.
Bruce_F, Mar 2026
Prepare to enjoy a wonderful tour. Our guide Emily was knowledgeable and personable. She provided us with a great tour and shared her in depth knowledge of the Canyon and the history and culture of people living there. A thoroughly enjoyable 3 hours. The experience was well worth the cost
Kerry_B, Mar 2026
We had a private tour with Emily, whose family lives and has lived in Canyon De Chelly. This was the best tour of a spectacular place! She was personable, knowledgeable and friendly
Bruce_R, Dec 2025
Extremely educational—learned more from this tour than many 3 hour credit classes I took in college. Leander was outstanding—passionate, intelligent and high character with many, many stories. I highly recommend Beauty Way Jeep Tours.
Carol_S, Dec 2025
We had a wonderful time! We learned so much and enjoyed our driver/guide Jarvin Yazzie. We highly recommend Beauty Way and Jarvin.
Lori_H, Dec 2025
Lee (Beauty Way Tours) was excellent and asked what we like, what drew us to come to the area so he could tailor our experience to best fit us.
We got to see the views and hear the stories we came for.
Kathryn_K, Nov 2025
Le was so knowledgeable about his Navajo heritage and provided us with a fantastic tour. Le entertained tons of questions. Beauty tours is a great company to see the canyon.
Joseph_d, Nov 2025
This was such a great tour. The canyon is full of great scenery.
Guide was knowledgeable and informative.
Janine_M, Nov 2025
Great afternoon exploring American Indian culture! Beautiful canyon and fascinating history. Being in the jeep allowed us to cover a lot of ground in three hours
Anna_S, Oct 2025
We had such a wonderful day with Daniel! He shared so many fascinating insights about the canyon, its history, and the people who lived there. Even beyond the incredible archaeological sites, what made the day truly special was Daniel’s willingness to share his own stories, spirituality, and songs. We laughed a lot and felt so comfortable asking to stop for photos whenever we wanted. He took us to some truly meaningful places he’s known since childhood—it felt like seeing the canyon through a friend’s eyes. Highly recommend this experience!
Paula_P, Oct 2025
Arianna was an exceptional guide. High energy and excited to explore with us. Very knowledgeable about the Canyon and the personal touch to meet her family and hear their stories of living in the Canyon was great.
