Wonderful 3 hour tour with our very knowledgeable and very kind guide, Chantz. The canyon is magnificent and we learned a great deal in the three hours we were out exploring. The canyon was not overly crowded, so we really felt a sense the history and magic of the environment. Highly recommend.

The Canyon is amazing and the jeep floor tour shows the details like Petroglyphs and bullet holes you’d miss if you only tour the rim.

Our guide, Percy, took us to see many sites in this beautiful canyon.
Without a guide, none of this is accessible.

Our g
Delvonnia really brought out the interwoven fabric of the people and the land. She communicated exceptionally well, shared her knowledge of geology, and shared stories of her cultural experiences. We are grateful.

Irene with Canyon de Chelly Tours is the best guide!!!!! Very informative of culture, language and history

Canyon de Chelly is a fascinating journey through time. Our guide told us many stories about the past and present of the people who called it home. You won’t be disappointed.

My husband and I had a wonderful, personalized time on this tour. We appreciate the experience, and all the information we got from our kind and welcoming guide. The only spot we wanted to see but did not get to was the Spider Rock, which we saw (and photographed!) earlier that day from the overlook. For this, you need a four-hour tour, at least.

Jason Begay was our driver and did a fantastic job taking us around and telling us the history of the area and his ancestral homeland. He made this a very memorable trip. Thank you!

Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and very accommodating. Amazing petroglyphs pictographs. Reginald

My wife and I had such a great experience exploring the Canyons with Canyon de Chelly Tours! Our guide, Delvonnica was exceptional, whether telling captivating stories of the Canyons, their inhabitants or history, she shared great wisdom, information and humor. Del tailored our tour to show us the ruins, petroglyphs and pictographs that were of most interest to us. We explored both Canyon de Chelly and Del Muerte Canyon in our 3 hour tour. We were given the opportunity to extended our tour, but we had other commitments so limited to 3 hours. We will definitely be back with more time to continue our exploration with Del!

The tour was great, with visits to fascinating petroglyphs and ruins. Our guide Misty was very knowledgeable and insightful, sharing her knowledge of the indigenous people and local fauna. We had an incredible time, an all around rewarding experience. Will definitely book another trip when we are in the area again.

If you are fortunate, you will get Reginald our guide. He was So informative, enthusiastic about his native culture that we asked if we could join the Navajo Nation!!

My husband took this tour not really knowing what to expect. Our tour guide, Irene, was very informative about the different sites we went to and gave us a lot of history on the area we visited.
We really enjoyed the tour and recommend taking it with Irene.

Richard and his supervisor saved my trip because I screwed up and missed the start time. They created a special tour for me. Richard was an outstanding guide knowledgeable in the Navajo culture. I really valued my time with Richard.

Wonderful jeep ride into the Canyon to see petroglyphs and ruins. We so enjoyed riding with Irene our Navajo guide. Very knowledgeable.

The canyon is amazing, our guide did a great job, but we had a very bad experience meeting the guide. The Viator app said to meet at the Thunderbird Lodge, and we were there at the appointed time, but the lodge clerks told us the local trip companies were never allowed to meet their clients at the lodge. We were sent by them to an empty parking lot, and then we went tot he visitor center to ask if they could tell us where to go.... 20 minutes later we eventuarly met our guide. she was kind enough to give us the full time on the tour, but we were pretty stressed out by then. Viator should have provided accurate instructions.

Our guide, Reggie, was WONDERFUL!! He was so full of knowledge about the Navajos as well as the rich history of Canyon DeChelly. He played his Indian flute for us several times, and that really added to the experience. I can't say enough about what a terrific guide he is and how he considerably enhanced our appreciation of the Canyon.

Arica is amazing. She is a fourth generation and have a full guide, in fact, her grandfather retired last year at age 85. She was able to tell the oral history of the Navajo nation as well of the canyon. I didn’t know what to expect on this tour, and my husband and I were pleasantly surprised over and over. The petroglyphs, the geology, the whole trip itself, was amazing. I was a little apprehensive because I get carsick, and the GMC Denali handled everything very well, we didn’t go very fast, and even with miniature four wheeling in someways, the whole ride was a pleasure.

Our most memorable experience was the exceptional customer service from your team. A special shout-out to Percy and Delvonnia for making our trip truly top-notch!
Percy, our guide for the Jeep tour of Canyon de Chelly and Canyon del Muerto, was incredibly knowledgeable about the local culture. He shared fascinating stories from his youth, enriching our experience beyond expectations.

We had a wonderful time exploring, viewing and learning in the valley floor of the canyon. Irene was our guide and made our experience a special one. She picked us up in her Hummer and maneuvered us through the desert sand, clay, bumps and ditches. Not only did we experience a fun offroading experience, it was packed full of history and educational information which we absolutely enjoyed. Irene took her time not only driving us around but answering all of our questions. We had a fantastic time and would highly recommend this tour.

Cultural history to go with sites was excellent. My wife was not able to get in and out of the jeep many times so Reginald, our tour guide, would either park the jeep where she could easily see or open the top for a better view. I highly recommend Reginald as a tour guide!

I always favored the Canyon de Chelly as the most beautiful one and the one best for sensual experiences.
Thirty years ago I rode in on one of Justin Tso´s horses. As this is not feasable for me anymore, this time we let Erica take us in with a GMC Denali. Of course, it is not the same, but the beauty is still there and Erica is a wonderful guide to experience it. She actually grew up in the canyon and she is a tour guide in the 4th generation, so she knows all the stories.
She also gives you room and time and quiet to let you experience the special atmosphere this canyon has.
We travelled all the way in, to the place where her family still lives and were nicely welcomed there.
Thank you Erica, for a wonderful time in "our" favorite canyon in the Southwest!

The colors and scale of the canyon were breathtaking. Put this with the deep blue of the sky, the fact that people still live here, and the depth of knowledge of my tour guide made this is a truely awesome experience.

Frank sharing not only history but way of life now. Great information. We truly enjoyed it and would recommend it
Sharon_S, Apr 2024
It was so beautiful and amazing. Our guide had so many stories of the history of the people and the canyon. It is a Must-See experience.
David_M, Apr 2024
Awesome experience! Rode with Richard in the “Smurf” Jeep. He was extremely knowledgeable and gracious for our three-hour tour, taking us to many of the sights and explaining their significance. Jeep tour really is the way to appreciate the beauty of the canyon and to learn its significance to the Dine people. Wish we had the time to do the full-day tour.
David_D, Apr 2024
Reginald, our guide, was fantastic. He was completely knowledgeable of Canyon de Chelly sights and history, very friendly and personable, and even played beautifully on his Navajo flute at one of the stops. It was great that this was a jeep ride instead of one of the larger vehicles that run tours here because we sat with and conversed with the guide instead of sitting back in the cargo bed like the other tours.

Sierra Leon was our guide - lucky us. We had been here before - 20 yrs ago, what a difference. Sharing the canyon, the stories, sharing how the river and plants, trees that were brought in from Spain to lessen the erosion and of water. The highlight is of course is the canyon
BARRETT_S, Mar 2024
Our guide, Irene, was amazing! She has lived her whole life in Canyon de Chelly and is a walking encyclopedia of the petroglyphs, history, culture, horticulture and geology of the canyon. She made this tour well worth the time and effort to get there, and gave great value for the money.
I would highly recommend her and the tour of Canyon de Chelly.
