This trip exceeded our expectations. We saw many different birds. The crew consisted of a captain and a naturalist who were both very knowledgeable and excited to share their knowledge. I would recommend this tour to avid birders as well as a group like ours that enjoyed a nice boat ride at sunset and got to see and learn a lot. 🙂

The boat only allowed 5 people on the front deck when moving, therefore, you couldn't stay outside for long, to give others a chance on deck. The intercom system used by the woman leading the trip, couldn't be heard very well, if you were not inside with her. We did see several varieties of birds. That said, I would not take this "cruise" again.

I'm sorry you didn't enjoy your "cruise" as much as most of our patrons did that evening. Although it was not as many varieties of birds as we often see, we did manage to see twenty nine species on your cruise during the two hours. I don't really have a response for your other concerns. Since we generally carry 15 to 25 people, a 5 person limit on the front deck while cruising seems pretty logical, so we can continue to operate the vessel safely. And the voice attenuator used by the naturalist obviously cannot be installed out on the front deck because to install speakers on the front deck would be quite disturbing to wildlife since we do get really close looks at a lot of the birds. Our guests do enjoy hearing from our naturalist but some of the more timid birds don't always. Maybe 1 day you can try a cruise with us In May when we sometimes see as many as 45 species instead of the 29 we had on your trip.
The captain and naturalist leading the tour were informative, funny and very nice people. They took us through beautiful marsh lands and shared a wide array of birds, plants and marine life with us. The sunset was magnificent. Not a bad moment to speak of.
Great tour. Guides were very knowledgeable. Saw a lot of different birds including some blue herons.
Very nice. Cool on water. Didn’t see any exotic birds. No eagles. A few osprey from a distance. Empty nests because not nesting season. Nice scenery. Very relaxing. I would recommend.
I enjoyed this experience. The naturalist on board was very knowledgeable and passionate about the subject matter. The captain was also great. We did a sunset cruise which was lovely. I appreciated that we all received binoculars to use. We ended up seeing so many dolphins, which was amazing. I should add that my 11-year-old and adult friend were bored after an hour, so it may not be for everyone. But I recommend it if you enjoy seeing nature and appreciate a relaxing experience.

This experience was great!! Peggy and the boat's captain (can't remember his name) were fantastic. Very informative and knowledgeable, he made sure we saw all the birds and was able to take pictures. The sunset was amazing and so relaxing. I really enjoyed it
Guides were wonderful. Full of knowledge and facts about the different species od birds. Also bought along hands-on examples to pass around. Very knowledgeable and great with guests.
I honestly don’t know much about birds and the Eco, but this trip was fun. We saw so many species and the knowledge the owners/tour operators knew was amazing. They love their job and made sure everyone saw everything. Thanks for such a fun evening.

We had no idea how many species of birds there are in Cape May. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable.
FANTASTIC TOUR!!! Boat has a covered area but better viewing on the front of the boat. Captain Bob was very knowledgeable. Bring a sweatshirt just in case. Saw a ton of birds!
Get up close with many salt marsh birds and birds of prey. Use the binoculars to see their beautiful plumage. All while drifting across the harbour and mashes with the setting sun on your back. Truly relaxing voyage.
Slow and just for bird lovers ,boat was very hot and greenheads were almost unbearable!!Make sure you take bug spray !The captain was very knowledgeable and really knew his birds…
Leaders are very knowledgeable about birds and know where to find them. Fun and informative. Learned a lot
Late afternoon/evening was a perfect time for the trip. Our captain timed it perfectly to see many birds coming in to roost for the night. Both he and the naturalist were great at spotting secretive birds. It was neat to see them still genuinely excited to spot birds. One might think it would be a ho hum experience after making 2 or 3 trips per day all summer.

Would highly recommend this tour! We signed up kind of on a whim and we absolutely loved it. It was relaxing but we also really enjoyed spotting all the birds and learned quite a bit too! This is a great activity for everyone

thank you so much. one of the best things about our job is showing people some new things out there in the salt marsh. it's such a different area and not an area that people commonly get to see up close.
Love it Highly recommend!!! My family and I really enjoyed the trip. Both tour guides were very knowledgeable in history of Cape May and of course Birds. They had snacks for purchase and free binoculars during the trip.
You're riding in flat boat with a glass cabin on top, the windows are slid open with plenty of seating as well as a standing section outdoor on the front of the ship.
Good quality binoculars are provided and the tour guides are very well informed as well as happy to answer anyone's questions. Quick to identify points of interest, they make sure to bring you close to a number of seabird nesting sites.
Would recommend to anyone who is interested in enjoying some natural sights in the bay, plenty of great photo opportunities so bring your camera.
