After the app was loaded, we had to check which direction on Cape Cod we were going in. Unfortunately, before beginning the narrative, we decided to change the direction and were unable to do so. I checked all the help aids on the app and nothing addressed this., so it became useless. I also noticed while looking around in the app for help that it doesn't cover the entire Cape. Ther were two major tourist towns not included: Hyannis and Chatham

Once you start, the app will guide you to the correct starting point and give full access to the route. The tour is difficult to follow. The narration is full of historical and geographical sound bites, but the audio tour does not navigate you to the actual spots if you willingly or inadvertently veer off path, nor does it appear to give you enough warning when you are approaching some of the landmarks. My wife and I selected the landmarks we wanted to visit, created an itinerary in Google Maps and then followed the narration while the navigation system would guided us along the way. It’s very helpful that you can preview offline, prior to the actual tour, the narration of the various spots.

If you stop and enjoy the sights it will take more time. Would like to see the archeological stuff. Enjoyable. Information given in a interesting way. Both a 12 and 14 year old enjoyed it. The walk to the top of the lighthouse was exhilarating! The tour guide at the lighthouse was knowledgeable. Well worth the money.

We have used these tours before but this time, we were not satisfied. We kept losing the app. And the app drives us through Provincetown which is NOT a great drive (narrow streets where most walk or bike). Wouldn’t recommend. Side note: DO NOT DO THIS TOUR THE FIRST WEEKEND OF AUGUST! There is a bike tour that made our one hour tour take FIVE PLUS HOURS. absolutely miserable.

We pretty much enjoyed the tour once we got the hang of it. My advice is to listen through before your trip. We had trouble finding the starting point and were at #53 when we began and we lost a lot of time backtracking. There are multiple Cape Cod Visitors Centers. I still do not know which one was the beginning point. Also, the parking at the Pilgrims Monument was $$ and we did not want to do that so it was difficult to navigate away from the stop. However, we enjoyed several lighthouses and views and a beach. Sometimes the narration is too long for the drive by and there is no where to pull over.

Since the tour is self-guided, everything needs to be downloaded beforehand. The good news is that the tours are valid for a whole year, so you can always try it again another time! There's also a tutorial video in the app (mentioned in the email) that walks you through everything. On top of that, our support team is available from 5 am to 5 pm EST if you run into any snags. Really enjoyed the fun facts along the route. Had an awful problem with the system starting back up again after we made a stop for more than 30 minutes. Instead of resuming, it cut off completely. Took 30 minutes to figure out how to get it to start again. I actually had to download the system a second and third time.

Endless frustration dealing with glitches. I should have realized we had a loser when it skipped stop #2. After that, the directions were inconsistent and incorrect; the little map line disappeared during trip legs and finally the videos stopped broadcasting sound, making them useless. One of the worst apps I have ever experienced. Must have wasted at least an hour of our time trying to adjust through the multitude of mistakes. Great idea, terrible execution! I'm going to be seeking a refund.
