The food walking tour was brilliant, and our guide Adele was fantastic, she gave us so much information not just about the food but Greek culture and history as well. We ate very well and we certainly didn’t need anything else to eat that evening! We would whole heartedly recommend this tour.

Fabulous way to understand the greek way of life. Food is part of a social activity and takes place over many traditional dishes. Our excellent and knowledgable guide Peggy selected dishes we wouldn't have known about.

Maria was extremely knowledgeable about fascinating and delicious places to go in Athens especially in PSYRI and MonsteraKI. She showed great enthusiasm and was able to answer questions well. The variety of foods chosen was amazing and delicious. We saw everything from spices to gyro‘s to the Central market honey And everything in between. There was a lot of food and we were able to take some home for the next day we loved seeing neighborhoods we might not have discovered on our own along with hole in the wall places that had delicious food.

Katarina was so knowledgeable and excited about Greek food. The venue choices were wonderfully planned. The tour was relaxed, fun, educational and delicious. I could not have asked for a better experience. Now, time for the diet! So much food.

Great cross section of delicious authentic Greek fare. So much food! We have been on 7 food tours around the world. None have had even half this much food, and it was all delicious. Included many dishes we had never tasted before. Highly recommend this!

What a fun way to explore different foods from Greece! Nicolette was knowledgeable about the areas and restaurants we visited, and told us stories and memories she had of each place. She made the tour really special for us and we laughed had a great time. There is a lot of walking but worth it! It’s a great tour for all ages!

This was a very nice tour, plenty of great food, good guide with a lot of knowledge.
The group was small (8 people) and it was nice company.
We learned a lot, and we ended the tour with takeaway food (because there was so much food served in the tour itself).

This tour was great! Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable. There were eight in our group and we had so much delicious food including Greek coffee, mezes, souvlaki, sweets, ouzo, and beer. We sampled olive oil, honey and beeswax products in a local shop where we had an opportunity to buy. In addition, we walked through local markets where we saw the fish, meats, and produce on display for sale. We would happily do this tour again if we return to Athens.

So much delicious food! Kathryn (not sure that’s how she spells it) was an amazing guide. We tasted all the Greek specialties, learned to drink Ouzo properly, watched coffee being brewed on a sand table, and actually had to take away the gyro from the last stop because we couldn’t eat another bite! There’s a lot of walking, it’s mostly flat but somewhat uneven in places. We walked through the meat, fish, and vegetable markets, which are worth a look unless you’re vegan or afraid of huge cleavers. K gave us a good bit of Athens history and interesting local insights as we were walking, and of course it’s great to meet other travelers in a small group setting. Definitely take the tour group’s advice and don’t eat any breakfast - just a really delicious experience all around.

A fabulous tour that you should not miss! The tour covers little samples of a range of Greek yummy food from traditional breakfast food to a full luncheon. Tonyia, our guide was the cherry on top, bringing to life Greek hospitality and charm.
If you only have one day, add this tour to your list. Highly recommend.

We met up with our guide Tonya at the meeting place, which was an easy location to find. The group size was perfect for hearing the guide share her knowledge of Greece as well as the foods we sampled. I love how she was so personable and knew everyone in the group by name. The places we stopped to try their specialties were so accommodating, and the food was delicious! My reason for giving this tour four stars instead of five is that at one point she gave us a few minutes to look around at some nuts that were for sale, and when my sister and I turned around, our group was gone! We missed the whole last hour of our tour. With as small as our group was, I wish she would have checked to make sure we were all together before moving on. I did receive an email and a text from the tour company, but we were already back to our hotel by then. I am saddened that we missed half of the tour. We very much enjoyed the part we experienced. This experience will not keep me from booking with Viator again, we have booked thru them numerous times with no problems. I do hope our experience will help to prevent this from happening to others.

Katarina was absolutely fantastic! Not only does she have an amazing and kind personality, but her English was exceptional as well was her knowledge of Athens. We visited parts of the city we otherwise would not have seen if we didn’t do the tour. I wish she could be our personal guide for the rest of our trip.

Our Gourmet Food Tour was amazing! We tried all local favorites from appetizers, salads, main course, and dessert. Our tour guide was great….very knowledgeable and fun too! She made sure we tried all the local favs and immersed us in the food culture of Athens. She also took us through the fish, meat, and vegetable market to give us an idea of where many people get their local foods. This was an excellent way to experience Athens local food scene!

Nicoletta was a wonderful guide. My parents had a delayed flight, so joined in the middle, but Nicoletta got take away at all the places they missed. I’ve been on several food tours around the world, and this was one of my favorites. Highly recommend this tour!

Knowledgable guide
Tasted several local Greek foods (and drinks) , plenty to eat
Only 3 stars not sure the difference between a normal and gourmet food tour, the final tasting of different olive oils & vinegars seemed a bit of an unnecessary add on
And we had a daughter of one guest on our tour and they were unable to supply a non alcoholic alternative (apart from water)
