This was one my favorite food tours. It's a bit expensive but we saw a part of Rome that we probably wouldn't have visited on our own. The food and drink was great. The history that our guide Emilliano gave us top notch. I'm sure whoever you get as a guide will be knowledgeable but Emilliano was outstanding and entertaining. If you take the tour I hope you get the Emilliano experience!

We were so fortunate to have Barbie as our guide/leader. She was passionate and a great communicator and we learned heaps. We had 3 hours plus of history and explanations and question answering and she didn't skip a beat - even when ascending those steep Colosseum steps. Couldn't recommended this trip more highly. Fantastic bang for the buck.

The tour was well organized. We kept getting info about the tour since we booked. Our tour guide Silvia was great! Very knowledgeable and passionate about the history. I learned a lot about the Roman history and Vatican from her. The only unorganized thing was going up the done but that was not part of our tickets and it took us 2 hours to get this activity done. Paula was an amazing tour guide. Over the past five weeks we have travelled through Paris, Croatia & Italy & we have joined many tours along the way. Paula has been the best tour guide we’ve encountered so far. Other tour guides can tend to bounce around from topic to topic randomly which makes it difficult for participants to grasp the overall history & what took place when, & why. Paula was methodical, highly knowledgeable & very organized. She kept the group together & was able to maintain a continuity with her explanations along the way that helped make the whole experience understandable & enjoyable.

If you can, take the private tour at night with Isaac! He took us around all the great sights plus Rome at night is electric! We went in the cutest electric Model T and loved it. We got lots of attention! Isaac was kind enough to wait for us as we ran late-even stopped for pastries and gelato!

I would highly recommend this tour. Our tour guide, Francesca, was very informative and entertaining. I would suggest that Viator give better directions to the meeting point. The meeting point is on the street level of the Colosseum near a blue subway sign showing the Colosseum subway stop, The TOURIKS representative is holding a yellow TOURIKS placard.

Check in at the Crown Tours office was easy and efficient. Our guide was Diana and she was excellent. She made the tour very interesting and brought the history of the Vatican to life by adding many interesting details about the Popes, artists and life in the Vatican long ago! It was well worth it and I recommend it.
