We had an excellent guide. It was an extremely hot day; she always looked for a shady spot to share information. She gave us free time towards the end of the tour, making it clear when to meet again. The tour, while short,...

The tour was incredibly educational and amazing! The two-hour tour doesn’t hit every major landmark but it was a very good introduction to the site! Our tour guide, Marilyn, had an impressive knowledge of ancient Pompeii; she was very funny and answered any questioned asked to her. I would highly recommend this tour, and specifically Marilyn as a tour guide, for a tour!

Excellent experience

Very pleasant experience. Doing a private tour is really fantastic. Our guide, Dario was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. We were able to walk around at our own pace on the site of Pompeii. Lunch was delicious! Nice little winery which you wouldn't expect on the outskirts of town. Delicious wines and great food. One of the best honey we've ever had. Simply had to buy a jar! Definitely recommend this tour.

Perfect Day with our family

This was a wonderful tour. Our driver, Gianluca was a joy to talk to and had plenty of interesting information about what we were seeing during our time in the Almalfi coast and while in Pompeii. We would recommend booking the experience with the archeologist. Alfredo was very in depth and made Pompeii a memorable experience we will remember for a lifetime. Vesuvius was also a great time. Although the climb was tough, it was worth the views at the top. Mario was a top notch hiking guide.

A Master Class Given at Pompeii

The entire experience was first rate with Eliana as our tour guide. While my wife and I were a bit worried that much of the information would go over our sons’s heads, it was fantastic. She is not only a tour guide, but THE master archaeologist currently AT Pompeii. She has 25+ years experience digging the site! She tailored the experience to us and our children (who are mini adults) and answered every single question with such authenticity and detail (I.e., colors of the frescos) that it made me realize everything we missed the first time we came 11 years ago on our honeymoon. She has access to everything, and the seas parted when it was obvious everyone knew her. This was secondary to all of nuanced information she gave about the differences in a “business city” like Pompeii versus Rome, a “political city.” What’s more, we were given just the right amount of time to recharge halfway through the tour, making the second half more exciting than the first. We cannot thank Eliana enough for the experience we were provided today. A tour guide is one thing, but a master giving one is quite another.

It was a very hot day...

It was a very hot day when we visited these historical sites. Make sure to bring water and hats and fans when you visit during the summer months. Our tour guide’s name was Vincenzo. He was great! He was knowledgeable, friendly and funny. He made the ruins and their history relevant. He was also very considerate of the heat and always looking for shaded areas to give us the information about the ruins. He was a great guide and is why we had such a good experience there.

Giovanni thought of everything to make this private boat tour one of the most memorable travel experiences of our lives! From prosecco to beach towels and limoncello to amazing caves....the day is the perfect mix of relaxation and frantic picture taking. He was considerate of our input on where he pointed us to go for lunch, provided thoughtful insight on local history and took pretty good group photos!
