Beautiful, Fun, definitely skipping the queue

We had a wonderful time exploring the Vatican, Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s Basilica with David as our guide! Despite having a schedule to keep, David was always calm, friendly and patient. He gave us plenty of time to take photos to our hearts’ content, never rushing or pushing us, but gently reminding us when it was time to move on. What we appreciated most was his way of explaining the paintings, sculptures and history behind these magnificent places. His explanations were easy to understand, engaging and just the right amount of detail — enough for us to appreciate the history without feeling like we were sitting through a history lesson! He also had a great sense of humour, bringing out both the funny and serious sides of history, which made the entire experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommended! Thank you, David, for making our Vatican visit such a memorable one!

Excellent Vatican Tour with an Outstanding Guide!

We had a wonderful experience visiting the Vatican with Crown Tours. From the beginning, everything felt well-organized and professional, and it was clear that the company has plenty of experience. Our guide, Roberto, was absolutely excellent! He was extremely knowledgeable, engaging, and very clear in his explanations, making the entire visit both interesting and enjoyable. One thing we particularly appreciated was how much time and attention he dedicated to our group. We noticed that he spent considerably more time explaining things than other guides around us, without ever making us feel rushed. He was also very patient when answering questions and made sure everyone stayed together throughout the tour. The price was a little higher than we initially expected, although we believe this was probably because we booked at the very last minute, barely 24 hours in advance. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would definitely book with Crown Tours again. A special thank you to Roberto for making our Vatican visit so memorable. Fantastic tour! Highly recommend this company for their incredible kindness and care.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience on our tour of the Colosseum! I was traveling with my two parents, and it was our highly anticipated first activity in Rome. Our tour guide was incredibly professional, but what truly blew us away was his compassion and empathy. As we approached a particularly steep hill, our guide immediately noticed my parents and took the time to gently let them know about the terrain ahead. Instead of rushing the group, he showed amazing kindness by offering them a comfortable place to sit and rest until we reached the Colosseum. This thoughtful gesture completely saved our day and made my parents feel deeply respected and cared for. His wonderful attitude and willingness to problem-solve made our first experience in Rome unforgettable. We are so grateful for his outstanding customer service and will absolutely book with this company again.

There is a lot of walking, so be prepared. It is so worth it!!! Maria was delightful and a wealth of information as she has done this for decades!! She was easy to understand, answered questions, and had a great sense of humor! This tour has headset for one ear and able to increase/decrease volume to your liking! Highly recommend if your time in Rome is short.

An amazing engineering achievement!

The Coliseum is one of those places that are beyond description. The enormous size of the place and the amazing engineering and construction required to build it is incomprehensible. Every stadium built today still resembles this place. Anne our tour guide was wonderful. She explained everything in full detail and answered all of our questions. She navigated us through a very crowded place while providing details all along the way. I highly recommend both Anne and the tour without hesitation.

Amazing Experience

The Vatican tour was an amazing experience and 100% you want to book in advance. We did a small privte tour which was the better way to go than a large group tour. Roberta, our guide, was knowledgeable and funny. She didn't rush us and gave us plenty of time to admire the artwork. Would recommend this tour!

We absolutely loved our time with this tour! Diego, our tour guide, was amazing, informative, and very fun. You could tell he really enjoyed sharing this information with others. He was also very good about giving us plenty of bathroom and water stops. Diego was knowledgeable and made it a priority to make the tour interactive. It really helped us to imagine what life used to be like 2000 years ago. He was patient with our questions and always double checking to make sure we understood what he was saying. I highly recommend a tour with Diego. Only clarification is that the Arena Floor means the main surface level of the Colosseum that the gladiators fought at. The underground tour is the one that takes you to the lower level and is a separate experience. That confused me a bit when I booked the tickets so thought I would clarify here. Meeting location was very easy to find and follow. Overall, an absolutely wonderful experience that my husband and I thought was worth the price. Diego is the best!
