I would not recommend this experience. The chef’s husband was there which we were not expecting, and although the chef kept reminding us to keep our stations clean, she had to shoo her two annoying dogs off of the counter several times with her hand then she touched the food. And dessert was store bought dairy free yogurt. Pick a group class.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're truly sorry to hear that the experience did not meet your expectations.
We appreciate you bringing these concerns to our attention and have discussed them in detail with Brittney. She acknowledges that after briefly moving one of her dogs away from the cooking area, she should have washed her hands before returning to food preparation. She sincerely regrets this oversight, as food safety is something she takes very seriously.
We've also updated her listing to make it even clearer that she has two dogs in her home. Additionally, we updated the experience description to better set expectations regarding occasions when her husband may be at home, even though he does not participate in the experience.
Regarding dessert, Brittney made a last-minute decision not to serve the homemade truffles she had prepared because they didn't meet her standards. Instead, she created a chocolate dairy-free yogurt with cocoa and maple syrup, served with fresh strawberries and toasted walnuts.
We genuinely appreciate your candid feedback. It helps us work closely with our hosts to continually improve the guest experience, and we're grateful you took the time to share it. We wish you all the best in your future travels.

My husband and I booked the cooking class with our son and his girlfriend. We all had a great time and had fun cooking a healthy meal.

What a wonderful experience! Brittney and her husband welcomed us into their home for a spectacular 3+hour experience like none other. We got to know each other while we participated in preparing an impressive meal … and we got culinary tips along the way. Brittney’s culinary skills are amazing! Our menu: Sockeye Salmon with Walnut Basil Pesto, Spinach Goat Cheese Salad with Lemon Vinaigrette, Za’atar Roasted Carrots and Chocolate Tahini Truffles with Pomegranate Molasses served with Willamette Valley Vineyards Pinot Gris from Oregon. The tastes in all were amazing!!! Put an in-home dinner with a chef from The Traveling Spoon on your “what-to-do-when-traveling” list. That’s what we did in Seattle… and will do so for future trips elsewhere. That’s because Brittney said the company has participating chefs in cities around the world! Thank you Brittney for welcoming us into your home for an experience we loved!!!
