We enjoyed this outing which included a @2.5 mile moderately strenuous hike in a beautiful wooded area full of tall Douglas fir and western red cedars, a visit to the Snoqualmie waterfall which was a very short and easy walk on a paved path, and a quick stop at a gift shop/cafe run by the Snoqualmie people. The hike to the Twin Falls and back has an overall elevation change of about 500 ft. We started out along a river which was quite easy. Then we climbed an switchback trail with an incline to an observation point. I'm in just fair condition so I was panting a little on the steeper parts, but the guide gave ample times to rest. The hike then progressed down another switchback trail about halfway down th hill, then had some ups and downs with a final long incline to the top of the falls. My wife (who is in better shape than me) did the whole hike and didn't think it was too difficult. I chose to wait at the first observation platform to take her picture by the falls. Then I went back to the river area to wait for the group to return. We were both happy with our choices. Even though I didn't do the full hike I still enjoyed being out in the woods and seeing the falls. I spotted several types of mushrooms and ferns which were very interesting.

Fabulous day with Susan. Comfortable van (not new, but perfectly fine), easy drive to a local grocery to pick up a picnic lunch (bring a small backpack to put it in, along with water for the hike up the mountain)/restroom break, then she took us into the park and knew exactly where to go for the best views, photos, etc. She was pleasant and not too talkative which was nice so we could sit back and just take it all in. We saw Ranier, the old growth forests, various streams and waterfalls and the reflection lake plus the Paradies hike. Well worth it and combined just the right about of hike and sightseeing. Do not hesitate to book.

Ask for Richard if you go...he was very knowledgeable, and hilarious! We found ourselves laughing so much, and he told us where we were Underground as we walked beneath the city streets. He also gave us good advice on places to visit and other places to find a good meal, and keep ourselves out of trouble!
