Itinerary
Your premium passenger van departs bright and early from downtown Portland.
Your first stop is at Ecola State Park, where you can take in stunning views of the Oregon coastline.
Next up is Cannon Beach. Upon arrival, head to Haystack Rock, an enormous monolith that earned fame in the film "The Goonies." Walk all the way to Haystack’s base (if the tide is out), explore tide pools, and glimpse scurrying sea creatures. Enjoy lunch (own expense) in the town of Cannon Beach at your preferred local eatery.
After lunch, reboard your premium passenger van for a southbound tour along the famous coastal US Highway 101. Along the way, explore the unique beauty of the Oregon coast and stop at beautiful beaches and scenic overlooks. Admire the Pacific Ocean as it crashes along the cliffs, and visit other small towns that dot the coastline. Upon arriving at the Neahkahnie Overlook, keep a lookout for gray whales while gazing out into Tillamook Bay.
Afterward, one of your last stops is at Oswald West State Park.
Your tour concludes back at the starting point, in downtown Portland.

Great guide )Andy). Very personable and relatable. He really knows the Oregon coast. He tools us on a couple of “extra stops” that were delightful.
The van is brand new and very comfortable. It even has USB ports for charging phones.
I highly recommend this tour.

Aaron was so knowledgable and I learned so much along the way. The route we took was perfect and so gorgeous. So much nostalgia for me seeing where the Goonies rode their bikes, the hill and of course the rock. Had the best time.

Our first time in OR we decided to explore the area by booking some Viator tours. The coast tour was amazing. Our guide Eric took such great care of us. I can’t imagine having a better experience visiting Ecola park, Canon beach, Sandy beach and everything in between.

The destination was everything that I expected and more. The tour guide was not that great. She was silent for the majority of the tour. She shared nothing or very little about the surrounding areas that we passed through or visited. She was not very informative or engaging. She was polite and seemed kind. However, she was not an active guide. She also never walked with us or made herself present at any of the destinations.

This tour was a very pleasant and thorough introduction to the Oregon coastline, particularly the most charming and scenic spots of the Northern Oregon coast. David was a personable and knowledgeable guide. His enthusiasm for the area was infectious and much appreciated! Highly recommended!!

You were able to see lots on the coast with multiple stops. All the the sights were breathtaking and pictures 100% won’t do the justice. Patrick was very knowledgeable and had some fun stories he shared a long the way. Plus he has the perfect radio voice so he was fun to listen to! I would absolutely recommend this trip for others.

The Ecola State Park and the Cannon Beach were my favorite. The experience is so serene. Mel is nice and shared information on some of the places that we passed by. She even described and named the different kind of trees that we are about to see as we trek our way to the sandy beach.

Scenic tour. Takes you to beautiful beaches around the coast. Aaron(?) our guide was very knowledgeable and provided the interesting history of the historic points. Worth taking this tour. We were kept on time and were provided with great tips of coffee and eating places too.

We had Patrick as our tour guide. He was really knowledgeable about the environment on the Oregon coast and was personable answering questions whenever they came up. The actual trip itself had so many amazing stops. I would highly recommend this trip especially if you want to see captivating nature. We were always dropped off in the perfect area to view the scenes or explore in Cannon Beach

I had good experiences with Viator tours before. But this was very disappointing. It was a rainy day, but the tour guide could have changed the day by driving through some better scenic areas. Next day, I drive around by myself and realized that I wasted my money by taking this tour. On top of that the tour guide made it a point that the expectation was to give at least 20% tip when he didn’t go out of his way to give us a good experience. The cost of the tour was already &149. Wasted my money that day. Oregon is do beautiful and I did not experience anywhere close by going on this tour.

We are sorry that you were left feeling disappointed by your experience on the beautiful Oregon Coast.
Your guide did let us know it was a very rainy day during your tour day and that views were minimal. Unfortunately, that is often the reality on the Oregon Coast and we are unsure what other scenic areas the driver could have taken you to on the Coast for a better experience. It does appear that all stops were attended, but we do apologize if the environment was not ideal for exploring!
We will make a note to the guide about verbiage surrounding tips. Tips are never compulsory, but our guides are aware of the industry standard and do mention that tips are accepted.

The views were beautiful. I was not comfortable in the tour van because the driver drove way too fast. At one time, we drove over a construction area at a very high speed and items flew off seats and we had to hold on tight. I did nit feel safe.

We are sorry to hear that you felt uncomfortable in the tour van. Safety is our number one priority and we understand that means both on trail and in the van. Our guides receive ample training and are monitored closely throughout their tour to ensure appropriate speed levels.
We know that there is a significant and ongoing stretch of road on the way to the Oregon Coast that is very bumpy and is constantly and assume this is what you're referring to. This stretch of road can change frequently, especially after a heavy rain and we will communicate with our guides to continue driving through this stretch extra carefully.

The Oregon Coastal Tour was amazing. I've learned so much about the Oregon Coast from the geography, geology, lingo, etc. Patrick was an amazing tour guide, very friendly, funny, personable, and intelligent! I have taken so many amazing photos from the Coast trip from Haystack Rock, Cannon Beach, Short Sand Beach, and Ecola State Park. Would recommend 👌🏾 10/10!!

Aaron is SOooo Knowledgeable! You Will Learn TONS of new things and he is SUCH a vibe! I especially loved his honesty over the "Cool" and "Hipster" locations in Town! The locations were beautiful and we had AMPLE time to experience everything! SUCH a fun Trip!

This costal trip was absolutely breathtaking. What was even more breathtaking? Our guide, Aaron. He was more than a guide, he was an encyclopedia of trees, plants, geography, history, but most notable..his restaurant recommendations. We knew that Aaron would know the answer to anything and everything while we wandered through beautiful forests with absolute beasts of trees, visited the shore line of the pacific, while walking to the Haystack and searching for Puffins, seeing starfish, and riding in the van to and from. I cannot recommend this tour enough. 10/10 would go again and come with a prepared list of questions in an attempt to stump Aaron.

The tour to the beach was great. David is an excellent leader. Had plenty of time to walk on the beach at several locations. We took walks through the woods and enjoyed scenic viewpoints. It was a nice group of women.

I really enjoyed this experience! Meetup instructions were clear and we left on time. Our guide, Daniel, was friendly, knowledgeable about the area and gave us a lot of information about what we were seeing as we were driving. He took us to an extra beach stop and even made a detour when he saw an elk by the side of the road.

Cool stops on the way to the coast concluding with a short hike. Patrick, our tour guide, was fantastic and knowledgeable and was an interesting conversationalist. We had a beautiful sunny day and it was totally worthwhile!

1-1/2 hours to get to the coast from Portland but well worth the ride. Many scenic vistas and the town of Seaside is full of restaurants with great variety. Interesting seaside town. Our guide Patrick was full of interesting information and made the very best of a day with on and off rain. Umbrellas and ponchos were supplied and Patrick was good at encouraging us to enjoy the sites despite the rain.He really made lemonade out of lemons. We had a great time.

That weather was unpredictable. Make sure you wear your rain boots. Bring raincoats too.
Joe was very informative about the area we were visiting. He knew his material. Had good suggestions on eating places in Portland. He was pleasant and friendly. Made sure we were comfortable in the van.
