What are people saying about Portland

A chill experience!
I was a little skeptical when I booked this Tour because I’ve been on boat tours and in other cities, and I've noticed the food quality. The pre-recorded facts about the Tour and just overall vibe were a let-down. This Tour was a complete 180. I enjoyed the pleasant customer service from everyone on the boat, from the staff to the bartenders. Everyone was so friendly. I enjoyed the music that was playing on the piano. The pianist played Stevie Wonder and Alicia Keys. I also enjoyed learning about the Willamette River, and how Beautiful the scenery is when you’re on the Tour. The food was surprisingly decent, and I’m a foodie with a tough critique, so I had the braised short ribs with mashed potatoes and seasonal veggies. The braised short ribs were a little tough with the fork, but for some reason, when you ate them, they were still tender. Overall, I had a wonderful time and would highly recommend this Tour, even if you travel alone as I did. I was in my own world, my own vibe, and I enjoyed the vibes!

Highly Recommend This Cruise Experience
“We had a great experience overall. The views were amazing, and our server was very sweet and attentive. The food was good with generous portion sizes. The boat and bathrooms were both very clean and well-maintained. There was a pianist playing throughout the cruise, and guests even had the option to request their favorite songs, which made the atmosphere even more enjoyable. The boat crew was also very friendly and welcoming. We ordered drinks from the bar as well, and they were excellent.”

Great small group intro to Portland
The Best of Portland City Tour with Evergreen Escapes Portland was a wonderful introduction to the city! Luke, our guide, was enthusiastic, knowledgeable, friendly, and professional (even with a difficult guest on our small tour!).
Our first stops were a wonderful way to start! The Pittock Mansion grounds were in full bloom and Luke served us hot beverages and delicious, local banana bread. Here’s where he set the stage for the rest of the day and gave us a digestible version of Portland history. Our second stop at the International Rose Test garden. A stunning and fragrant visit. We then ventured through several communities in Portland, including downtown, to learn more about Portland and its culture(s). This was a highpoint for me to learn about the city rather than just visiting a few monuments. Luke topped the tour off with a tasty sample of Portland donuts!
Beyond the tour Luke offered suggestions and recommendations on food and activities outside the tour to help ensure everyone enjoyed their visit to Portland and Oregon more broadly.

THE BEST tour from a local Oregonian!
Would recommend this tour 10x over. Peter is soo knowledgeable and passionate about Oregon that we definitely felt like we got what we were looking for, it was so professionally executed & exactly what you’d want in a tour! He’s a local that loves his state and it shows ! Safe driving, super knowledgeable, & the best way to spend our day ! A lot of these tours can feel rehearsed and transactional but that’s not what you get with this Father/Son tour. It really felt like a local was showing you around without any awkward dead air in conversation. Amazing experience.

Cruising
The eggs Benedict was amazing! The chicken from the chicken and waffles is not good but the waffle was great. The bacon was probably the best part so much pepper and very crispy. The breakfast buffet had so many options they even had caviar. You can order additional plates for free outside of the buffet. The apple cider and orange juice was good. I’m not a drinker so I did not have a any bottomless mimosas. The views were also nice after breakfast on the top of the ship.

Loved this tour!!
We went on this tour with Kevin and had a blast! We got to ride through the city like locals and learned a lot about Portland history as well! We stopped by different spots for pictures and got so many recommendations! The E-bikes were comfy and super easy to ride!

Best tour EVER
our tour seemed to turn into a mini personal tour since our family was the only ones in the van. We saw so much and enjoyed everything we say and heard about the city and how things worked and the history of the city. our Drive had so much knowledge and we did not miss a thing

You will not leave...
You will not leave hungry! Definitely got to try a large variety of donuts along the tour. We stopped at 4 shops total, and got to take some to go at the end which was perfect since we were pretty donuted out by the end. The tour was very well paced and learned some really neat things about Portland and various sites. The Portlandia statue was real highlight and something we would not have noticed on our own. The guides were really nice and curated a really good experience for the group. If you love donuts, definitely don't skip out on this!

Book the Columbia River Gorge Waterfalls Tour
We went on the Full-Day Guided Oregon Coast and the Half Day Columbia River Gorge Waterfalls tours with Cameron. Cameron is friendly and super knowledgeable. You can tell he enjoys giving tours. We enjoyed both tours. Our favorite was the waterfall tour. Towards the end of the tour Cameron gives Portland restaurant recommendations. These are restaurants he has eaten at. Pay attention to this. Cameron recommends excellent restaurants.

Great experience!
We attended the happy hour. I went with my disabled mother who uses a walker. Everyone was super friendly and accommodating. The scariest part was the steep ramp to get down to the boat but everyone was super helpful. The narration was great and we learned about all the bridges and some city landmarks. The chicken nachos order was huge and delicious with plenty of cheese. And we ordered a pink zinger with the souvenir cup. Zinger was delicious but the cup is kinda plain and flimsy, nothing special. Service was super friendly. Everything was clean and the ac was nice and cool. They even have a cute gift shop on board. Absolutely loved the experience overall and would definitely love to come back again. We also love that it is family owned and operated.

Informative Tour of Portland
Our tour guide Gunner was a very knowledgeable and friendly man with a clear love of Portland. He took us all over the great city of Portland and showed us many of the highlights including architecture, food, history and pop culture. Comfortable ride in the van. Especially loved the Rose gardens, seeing all the varied beautiful neighborhoods and ice cream break! Thx for a great day.

Gotta do the tour!
Gunner was our driver today. Very informative about the city, the surroundings, the people and the history of Portland. We love taking the Viatour city tours. You learn so much about the town that you would not on your own. Gunner brought a very personal touch to the tour. Would definitely recommend this tour if you really want to get a hometown perspective of the city.
