Your tour will begin at the 4,000-acre (1,619-hectare) Kualoa Ranch, situated on the northern coast of Oahu. Hop aboard a vintage bus with your guide to explore the expansive cattle ranch.
Hear commentary from your guide about the impressive list of films that have been shot throughout this landscape, such as "50 First Dates", "Tears of the Sun", and "Pearl Harbor", and TV shows such as "Lost" and "Hawaii Five-O". See where a dinosaur chase took place in "Jurassic Park" and take a picture of Godzilla’s giant footprint.
Then, you’re off to Kaneohe Bay, with views of Mokoli’i Island and the stunning mountains of Ko’olau Range, all of which were formed after the Ko’olau volcano erupted over 2.5 million years ago. The sparkling waters of Kaneohe Bay are also where Johnny Depp sailed aboard Queen Anne’s Revenge in "Pirates of the Caribbean 4". Soak up the stunning views as you pass the iconic green backdrop of Ko’olau Range.
At the end of your tour, your guide will bring you back to your original departure point at the ranch.

I wasn’t feeling well on the day I was supposed to take my parents to see the Jurassic tour and movie sets, and ranch tour. So, I asked for a reschedule the next day. The Viator customer service team were responsive in helping me with my request. However, the final decision made by the Kualoa ranch team denied my request. I didn’t ask for a refund because I knew it was too late to ask for it. It happened the morning of our scheduled tour. The drive was at least 1hr. I did not feel safe to drive from Waikiki to the ranch then back to Waikiki. I hope in the future, there’s some kind of consideration given to this kind of situation. We flew all the way from Chicago.
It's ok. The mountain range is beautiful and the tour went smoothly.
There's a ton of movies that have been filmed at the location, so there's a bit of nostalgia.
The bunker was impressive.
However, there's no comparison to visiting the Hobbiton tour in NZ, so if you had to choose, you'd be better to visit Hobbiton.
That said, it doesn't cost a fortune and is worth half a day out of your itinerary.
We visited Kualoa Ranch yesterday for the Movie Sites Tour, and what an incredible experience! The scenery alone is worth the trip! The lush green mountains, breathtaking valleys, and beautiful landscapes are absolutely stunning. Pictures simply don’t do this place justice!
It was so much fun seeing the locations where famous movies and television shows were filmed. There’s something really special about standing in places you’ve seen on the big screen!
The entire experience was fun, interesting, and memorable. Kualoa Ranch is truly one of those places that makes you appreciate just how beautiful Hawaii is.
If you’re visiting Oahu, put Kualoa Ranch on your must-do list! Whether you’re a movie buff or just someone who appreciates spectacular scenery, you won’t be disappointed.

We took the Movie Sites and Ranch Tour. Awesome adventure and beautiful scenery! Our guide Miles provided the perfect blend of comedy and information as we traveled through the tour, which made it so fun and entertaining. Highly recommend!!!
Great guide on the film tour- ‘Auntie’. My son did the zip line and loved it . He made new friends and the ‘Three Adam’s” who led the zip line were really fun
This was very nice! Beautiful scenery. Beautiful weather. Interesting facts learned. Evan our tour guide was very cool and kept it fun. Definitely worth it and we recommend it!
Not much on the movies site that’s why it’s just passed by. The Kong site is worth the trip in my opinion.
The ranch is a BIG beautiful place. There is a lot to do there! We booked the Jurassic Park tour only. It was about 90mins. There are seatbelts on the big rugged jeeps. We didn't use them but I saw others using them. The ranch has cows, horses and even an area for wild.pigs. The WWII bunker we went into was really cool with movie posters and movie props. It was fun to be part of movie magic. We loved it! The Bone Yard was a really fun place to take creative pictures.
After the tour, we ate at Aunty Pat's. The portions were huge and the food was really flavorful and tasty. Prices were about $15-$25. We didn't feel like the prices were awful considering other amusement parks are much higher for a lot less food.
Everyone was so nice and friendly.
Fun relaxing tour. This is our 3rd time taking this tour. We love the new vehicles as compared to the big green busses..

It’s a 1.5 hour tour it’s fun and our guide Jeremy was great! He took pictures of everyone who wanted and explained everything. He had great energy.

Fairly educational with lots of references to many movies that weren’t seen by many people. The driver kept confusing ( mixing up?) his speaking points. I expected more….the views were spectacular and the ranch is a great nature preserve!
It is a once in a lifetime experience! The tour guides are amazing and help you visualize the sets from movies and shows as you pass through. Even if you are not into movies or shows this place is unlike anything you will ever see! Gorgeous! My wife will return again the next time we are here! Help support this beautiful reserve.

It was very entertaining. We saw a lot of information about movies made on the island that I did not realize were made in Hawaii. It was a great tour.
The hurricane altered our plans so we booked this last minute. Boy are we glad we did. We all love movies so it seemed a good choice. The drive out was beautiful. Our guide Evan was fabulous. Knowledgeable, engaging, funny & added a personal touch. You can tell he enjoys his job. Well worth the trip to see such an incredibly beautiful place with such a rich cultural history as well as the entertaining experience of visiting movie locations. My teenagers said this was their favorite activity all week!!
