We had a great time! Mike is so knowledgeable about the area, and he is an excellent guide. The areas and stories he shared were very interesting.
Mike was a very knowledgeable and entertaining tour guide. Stories were intriguing and a little creepy. Not scary though. Very family oriented.
The guide grew up in Charleston and is very knowledgeable and funny. You can’t Go wrong; money and time well spent.
This walking tour was very interesting! The guide is an excellent speaker! I would definitely recommend this tour.
5 stars if you want History 101 rather than Ghost or Terrors which is in the title. It is understandable that historical and family friendly information is given when discussing the buildings that have been reported to be haunted. However, when the information is presented as a self walking tour and less terror was disappointing. The guide stated he had been doing the tour 30 years and it showed. He did not engage with us and seemed irritated when anyone asked questions. I would suggest 60 min tour and 30 min q & a if he prefers a lecture type setting. There were so many possibilities where this tour could go and even the adolescents were disappointed and bored.

I am a bit perplexed by this review.
The tour consists of 8 stories. I give enough background information at each stop to set the scene. Every story consists of detailed ghost encounters and some even have photos of paranormal phenomena.
I encourage people to ask as many questions as they like and only defer answering when it would spoil a later story.
I talk individually with as many people in the group as I can and often share stories from their hometown.
Except for the fact that she mentioned that I have been giving ghost tours for 30 years, I wouldn't recognize my tour from this review.
Mike was engaging and knowledgeable. We learned a ton about the haunted history of the city. Loved it, highly recommend!
Spooky historical walk thru a portion of downtown Charlestown. Very interesting and would recommend to everyone!
Tour guide was very knowledgeable about the history of charleston. He did as excellent job coming across kind of creepy. We loved it.
So I am a Charleston local that wanted to give his kids a little bit of Charleston history that you won't find in textbooks. My ground was a fantastic tour guide and really gave us an insight into the spooky history of Charleston, even more then I knew.
Lots of unknown interesting information given about the city of Charleston, also had the hair on my arms stand " twice" !!

The tour was well done and gives unique and informative info on haunts and haunted places in downtown Charleston. The tour operator is very experienced and has been doing ghost tours for nearly 30 years!
Knowledgable tour guide, who told great stories and included background, history and additional photos.
Mike was super knowledgeable about Charleston history and ghost stories. He also came prepared with water, bug spray and rain ponchos when it started storming. The thunderstorm made for a great background with the thunder and lightening for his ghost stories!
Our guide was a great story teller. The stories were spooky but nothing the 10 year old in our group couldn't handle. Would recommend 10/10

This is an informative and fun ghost tour. Mike has done a lot of research about sightings in the area. He’s passionate about it and it shows. He has some amazing stories that keep your attention the entire tour. He’s a very polished guide and makes the tour fun. We really enjoyed it.
The tour was really great! Kids 12 and 15 enjoyed it as well as myself and my husband. I would recommend this tour to everyone.
Mike Brown is an excellent storyteller. This is not a scary ghost tour, way more educational. The walk is not hard. Excellent for 18 and above as younger folks may want to move around more. If you like to learn history behind the ghost tales - he is your guy!
