Great Great Tour!
I lucked out, all the tours I saw were at least 20 people deep, our 9:45 am tour only had 3 people so our guide went all out. A 2-hour tour was more like 2 1/2 hours and it seemed like our guide stopped at every house, cemetery and church in the City with knowledge of its history. A side note: BEWARE: this tour starts next to the museum and they DO NOT let you use the restroom beforehand without paying! So much for southern hospitality, especially since those tours likely bring in a fair share of museum business. Ridiculous.

Nice half hour boat...
Nice half hour boat cruise out to Fort Sumter with narration by a park ranger! The boat has a refreshment center and bathrooms aboard! You spend approximately one hour doing a self guided tour of the site but there are rangers on site to answer questions. Interesting piece of history to visit. Half hour trip back and make sure to visit the Fort Sumter information center at the boat landing either before or after your trip out to the Fort!

The Gullah Theater and...
The Gullah Theater and all the presentations along the houses of the enslaved were fantastic and well worth the price of admission. The host of the main house Ed was disappointing however. He seemed more concerned about telling jokes than presenting the subject matter in an appropriately educational manner. Overall it was an interesting place to revisit having been there in 1978 and the changes in programming were much appreciated.

It was okay
It was very informative. However due to lots of boats and a sailing regatta going on in the harbor we didn't see any dolphins. Which was the main reason we booked the tour. I am also having difficulty getting my digital pictures. Overall a good time and experience.

Informative and Beautiful
I had a wonderful experience on the tours at Magnolia Plantation. All guides were well informed and interesting to listen to. The grounds were beautiful and what was blooming was bright. The house is stunning BUT the nature boat trip was best. To see nature in its own element is always amazing.

A Must Do Sight in Charleston
The only issue that we observed was the amount of people were able to sit in each row. Older folks could need more room than allowable. That should be addressed when you book online. Other than that, it is a very well run program. Horses are well taken care of and drivers are well informed. We had “Hilton” and he guided America through the streets of this beautiful Charleston town. Highly recommended.

Charming Charleston
A great way to learn about the history of Charleston while visiting historical sites. This tour Guides you to important places and gives information and recommendations about everything from where to eat and how to get around. We were picked up from our hotel and taken to the visitor center where the tour was scheduled to begin. Before starting the tour we visited the Welcome Center Museum. An awesome way to get brochures, see exhibits, and prepare for your journey. We appreciate this company and the service provided! Thank You!

100% recommend this tour and tour guide
Bill is an entertaining, knowledgeable, and passionate historian and tour guide. He kept the rapt attention of not only the history lovers in our family group , my husband and I, but also our 13-year-old daughter and 17-year-old son. This tour is just as described, an introduction to the history of Charleston, and it certainly whet our appetites to learn more about the area and its impact on the history of the country as a whole. I would 100% recommend this tour, and specifically Bill as a tour guide.

Informative and fun
We did the 90 min ghost tour that left from Buxton Books store. Our tour guide, Simon, was so knowledgeable and sprinkled in some history on our tour. He showed us photos that previous guests captured and encouraged us to take photos in case we saw anything. We really enjoyed the tour, and the landmarks we went to. So happy we had Simon as our tour guide. Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Charleston who is looking for something interesting and fun to do in the evening.

Great Tour. Just Right Amount of Time and Detail
Amazing and detailed tour! Our guide Allen, although not native to SC, surely did his research and shared our American history in an accurate and compassionate way. Relevant and appropriate for family members of all ages. This is the tour to take! About 90 minutes, comfortable ride, not crowded, just all around GREAT!
