A must-do!

This is my second time going whale-watching with this company and every time that I have went has been a wonderful experience. First trip was Labor Day weekend of 2023 and we saw a large groups of short nose common dolphins, large nose common dolphins, and even Risso dolphins. I was in San Diego again for a work trip in April 2025 and wanted to try to catch a baleen whale sighting. I knew immediately to go with this same tour operator. We had multiple sightings of a large fin whale that was happily feeding on krill! This time, I also opted in to buy the $1 herbal motion sickness patch that they have at the check-in area as I’m no longer as young and spry as I used to be and found it to be helpful. Sportsman Seafoods next door is a great restaurant to grab food at. I recommend checking the restaurant hours and if it aligns with your scheduled tour, to get to the area about 1.5 hours ahead of your tour so you can stop by the restaurant and eat the catch of the day which they serve grilled.

Amazing day with great crew aboard a beautiful yacht!

The experience is amazing! The weather on the way out was colder than on the way back but it was tolerable. We saw 3 kinds of whales as well as dolphin and sea lions! The crew are very knowledgeable and experienced so it makes the trip much better. The whole experience was so much fun even as a solo. Would definitely go again with the crew!!! I would recommend taking some sort of motion sickness prior to going if you have any chance of getting sick. I get seasickness but I did alright as long as I stayed seated and kept the breeze in my face. I also didn’t eat or drink a lot prior to boarding.

5/5 - unforgettable experience! I ended up being the only guest on this sunset sail, so it felt like a private sailing tour. The views were gorgeous, but halfway through the sail we suddenly got intense fog and visibility dropped a lot. Captain Patrick handled it like a total pro: calm, knowledgeable, and very reassuring. He adjusted the route and still made sure I had an amazing time. I always felt safe and in great hands. If you book this tour, I truly hope you get Captain Patrick. He made the experience exceptional!

Evening cruise

Last minute plans, the rain was a concern, but o booked anyway. Very easy online, they gave instructions where to meet and check in. The staff on the vessel were really awesome! And of course they had a bar! All while bumping stick figure! It was a blast and my gf enjoyed her sunset cruise for her bday. Thank you.

Afternoon Sail

This was such a fun experience. My sister and I went on a private sail with just us and Captain Adam and we felt like royalty! Directions to/around the marina were very clear, we found the meeting spot no problem. Adam met us right at the gate and walked us down to the sailboat. From there we sat back and relaxed for our sail! Adam was great to chat with and he waited on us hand and foot. The service was incredible. They have all the amenities on board, including restrooms, comfy places to sit and blankets in case you get chilly. We will absolutely book this experience again next time we’re in San Diego!
