Perfect, Comprehensive View of Netherlands

What a PERFECT, all-inclusive day of experiencing the countryside around Amsterdam. This excursion took in a lot in only one day, and our guide was delightful and informative. I would have loved a bit more time to look and shop at the windmill site, but I would have hated missing the other sites, so the schedule was actually perfect and did give adequate time to see it all. If you only have a couple days in Amsterdam, this is the PERFECT excursion to see the countryside and learn about Norwegian life and culture. Every site was exciting, informative and provided a glimpse of a different leg of Netherlands. I give it a 5 out of 5 stars!

A tour is the best way to see this area

I think you will get much more out of a visit here with a tour guide. If going on your own, it would just be a grouping of shops; with a tour guide you learn the real history of this area and becomes a much richer and more meaningful experience. Our guide lives here, so she knew the area well, and her passion for her home came through in her presentation.

The Van Gogh Museum was great! I saw some of his work in the Louvre a few years ago, but this museum was mainly dedicated to him. I learned more about him, his life, family and some of his mentors. There were also some Art from his mentors and friends. If you love Art, this museum is a must. You cannot bring bags larger than an 8.5x11 piece of paper in the museum, but lockers are available. The audio guide is a must if you want the best experience. You can also take pics, unlike some museums. Don’t arrive more that 30 mins before your timed ticket b/c you will not be let in earlier. Give yourself 3-5 hours if you want to see all floors with all of his works.

Interesting and enjoyable

Outstanding tour. Our guide was a talented story teller and brought photos from the 1930s and 1940s and charts to supplement what we were seeing and discussing. Heavy subject, but really interesting. Good to pair with a visit to the Anne Frank house, which is not included in this tour. We bought those tickets separately. Highly recommend this walking tour!

Beautiful tour and loads of fun

Super entertaining and interesting tour through the Amsterdam canals. Beautiful setting! Our guide could’ve been a stand-up comic! He was a riot and also provided a lot of good information about the city. Everyone on the boat seemed to have opted for the drink and snack package, which included red and white wine or beer with cheese and various cookies. It was all good! Highly recommend this tour. Lots of fun!

Fabulous Flagship!

What a fantastic time we had on this fun and informative cruise through the canals of Amsterdam. Martijn was a joy of a captain and went out of his way, quite literally, to show us some really great sights. Though we were on an anniversary trip, we wouldn’t hesitate to bring our young son on this excursion; we felt very safe and looked after at all times. We look forward to returning again and will highly recommend Flagship to anyone visiting this charming city!

Quaint, peaceful evening Canal Cruise

This informative Canal Cruise was a great way to end an evening. Mare lead our tour and piloted the boat. She was very informative, down to Earth and humorous. We intentionally were looking for a local, smaller sized group. We definitely found that. There was ample wine and beer with light snacks. We even made a stop to pick up a local snack. I tried both the original and the vegetarian. Hands-down, my favorite was the vegetarian. Definitely will recommend and rebook with the same company in the future.

We had a fantastic canal cruise in Amsterdam on Tuesday, 15 September 2026. It was one of the highlights of our trip and definitely one of the best experiences we had in Amsterdam. Our lady captain was absolutely fantastic — very friendly, professional and cool. She had a beautiful English accent and gave us lots of interesting information about Amsterdam’s history, as well as recent events and interesting places and venues around the city. We really enjoyed every minute of the cruise and would definitely recommend this tour to our family and friends. A wonderful day trip from Amsterdam

The tour agency was located conveniently near the train station so it was easy to get to. The round trip bus ride made the keukenhoff an easy day trip from the Amsterdam city center. It was early in the season to see the flowers, but there was still a lot bloomed and we had a wonderful time!
