Hop aboard your bus—a unique, Prohibition–inspired barrel bus—and get ready to explore. You'll visit up to three locals-loved Chicago craft breweries, all in just half a day.
Each brewery has its own unique qualities and approach to production. Go on behind-the-scenes tours to see where the beer is brewed, and learn all about the science of the brewing process.
At each stop, enjoy a generous range of samples, and try a variety of popular craft beer styles. (Please bring your government-issued photo ID; this tour is only for guests aged 21 and over.)

I am obsessed with the Barrel bus. It was so cool and unique. It was the perfect way to visit the breweries of the city. Our driver, Ted, was very friendly and had great stories to tell about the brew history in the city. If you a beer lover, this is the tour for you!

Great experience! Beer barrel was amazing and we made 3 Brewery stops. All of them were different and fun! They were very accommodating to our gluten free and pregnant family members. Highly recommend

You will be visiting 3 breweries. The first one is a small brewery, special here their gin barrel-aged beer. Second one is a large brewery. Beers were good. This is where you can order food. They are very efficient and food is great. Third one is a botanical brewery. I did not like this one.
This is not beer, just glorified sodas. Even the IPA I ordered was mediocre. Total waste of time. Good narrative on the Barrel Bus. Hope they'll come up with a better choice for their third brewery.

They are recognized as Chicago's first botanic brewery, has consistently earned top honors, most notably being named the #1 Best Brewpub in America in the 2022 USA Today 10Best Readers' Choice Awards. They have ranked in the top 10 for best brewpub nearly every year since 2017. Our brewery stops also change from day to day. We had a great afternoon with some friendly people. The tour guide and driver were great fun and we visited some local breweries and sampled some great beers. We were not limited to beer, and we purchased some snacks and cocktails at Haymarket brew pub

Our guide Ted was exceptional and made the trip fun with local stories of the history of Chicago’s temperance and prohibition era. Highly recommend this for locals and travelers. This would make a great corporate team bonding event too.

We live in Chicago, but use Viator like we’re from out of town. It’s just a great way to see the city. Architecture tours, pizza tour, and now barrel tour. Our guide was fantastic! I don’t even like beer, but one of the places had thc infused beer and that was yummy.
