Mateo and trainee Sophia were fantastic. The tour far exceeded my expectations. Mateo’s passion for his job is exceptional. He knows so much about the history of Rome and the ruins he could teach a college course. Wine and gelato were extra touches to complete a great afternoon. Highly recommend Mateo and his tour.

We had a wonderful day in Rome with Christian as our guide! His communication during the planning process and at our meet-up was extremely helpful and made the tour a success. Because we were traveling from our cruise ship, we had to take a bus to the train station and then a train to Rome. Christian clearly explained where to meet, reassured us along the way, and we all arrived right on time. Christian’s knowledge of Roman history, as well as modern-day life in Rome, helped us truly understand the city—then and now. The Rome Marathon was taking place during our tour, but Christian didn’t let that disrupt our experience. He guided us through back streets to avoid the crowds and even found a spot where we could watch runners nearing the finish line. We ended our tour with a visit to a beautiful park overlooking the city, where we enjoyed a glass of wine. Christian then dropped us off near one of his favorite restaurants, where we had a delicious Italian meal before returning to the ship. We highly recommend booking a tour with Christian!

Our guide was delightful! He was very knowledgeable about the city and spoke English very well. We enjoyed our tour very much/ my mother can’t walk a lot so this was a great way to see many of the attractions.

If you are searching Viator for things to do in Rome, you need to do a Golf Cart Tour. You need to choose THIS Golf cart tour because of the driver Stefano. Here's five reasons why. 1. You get to see all the big sites for drive by. Yes, even Trevi Trevi Fountain and the Colosseum where is can be quite crowded. He'll help you with the best times to go back to them on foot. 2. Cool stop by a farmer's market with a stop for gelato, wine or both. We picked up some items from the market too. 3. Spanish Steps. Stefano lets you off at the top, and picks you up on the bottom. Great opportunity for photos. 4. He takes you places you didn't know about, Orange Garden with a city overview; past at least a half dozen churches and as many pizzas, see the less famous Moses fountain. 5. The big finish? The Osteria da Fortunata is a very popular micro-restaurant chain in Italy. They are packed all the time. We pull up out front, hour long wait with the line wrapping around the building, he gets us in the front door through a personal connection. No wait! We were ballin'!

We took the golf cart tour in Rome and it was very well worth the money. Had a wonderful adventure manoeuvring through the streets and we got to go to several areas that we would have a missed by just walking or in a cab. Our tour guide Francesco was fabulous and very friendly and knowledgable and we felt like we had made a new friend. Would highly recommend this tour.

Golf cart Tour w Matteo!!

Matteo was waiting for us at the specified meeting place. We spoke briefly and then Matteo put together our plan! First stop gelato it was wonderful! Love the hazeln!ut. Mateo took the time to explain all the monuments and what they actually meant rather than just driving by and not having any background on what The Monuments mean to Rome. We felt it was a learning experience and gives us something to research in the future to learn more about Roma. Very interesting to learn about the Egyptian influences. Will definitely recommend this tour with Mateo to all of our friends and hopefully be back!!

Loved this tour! The golf cart was brand new and so fun to zip around crazy Roman streets in. Our guide Christian was super knowledgeable and a great conversationalist. We had a blast! Our kids loved the tour as well and were totally engaged the whole time.

Cristiian was wonderful! He was entertaining and knowledgeable throughout the tour. We saw areas very touristy with tons of people as well as quieter and beautiful areas we would have missed on our own. Highly recommend this easy and quick way around the city! This was a really wonderful way to see the many sights of Rome. We chose to explore on our own in the morning so we could enjoy being driven around in the heat of the afternoon. This way we could ask Alex all the questions we could about the things we had seen during the day. He also tailored the tour around the sights we hadn't yet seen or wanted more history/details about. We all absolutely loved the gelato stop, a real highlight on our adventure to Rome!

What a great way to get around Rome and see many sights in a limited time frame. Our guide, Mattia was absolutely wonderful. Very knowledgeable and incredibly friendly. He allowed us to help determine the sights we most wanted to see. He helped us choose a restaurant for dinner and walked us right to the door. We ran into him the following day in Florence, and he recommended and amazing restaurant for lunch. Would highly recommended this tour and Mattia specifically.
