Top Dallas Cooking Classes

Sushi looks fancy, but making it yourself is much less intimidating than you think. At a local Dallas brewery, you’ll learn the tricks behind two fresh rolls, starting with a California roll made from nori, sushi rice, avocado, surimi and cucumber. You’ll learn how to properly cook and season sushi rice, prepare and portion your fillings, then roll and shape everything into tidy pieces. Next comes a bright veggie roll with mango, avocado and cucumber, giving you a chance to practice slicing, filling placement and rolling again. With Chef Jarrett’s approachable guidance and a laid-back setting, you can focus on learning, laughing and actually enjoying the process. By the end, you’ll have a complete meal you made yourself — and a few sushi-making skills worth showing off at home.

Nothing beats the moment fresh pasta hits a buttery Cajun sauce you made yourself. In a relaxed local venue buzzing with good energy, you’ll learn every step behind homemade Cajun butter fettuccine in a beginner-friendly session that feels more like cooking with a talented friend than sitting through a lesson. Start by combining flour, eggs, oil and salt into fresh pasta dough, then roll and slice it into delicate fettuccine ribbons. Next, prepare a bold Cajun butter sauce with garlic, butter, herbs and signature Cajun seasoning before coating every strand in rich, savory flavor. You’ll sharpen practical skills like kneading, rolling, shaping pasta and balancing seasonings without feeling overwhelmed. Chef Dee’s approachable teaching style keeps things relaxed, so you can laugh through the flour clouds, enjoy every bite and head home with a recipe that deserves a permanent spot in your dinner rotation.
