Skip the lines and get right in!
Make sure you register with the name on your passport!!! Sometimes guards will say no if you register with the nickname and refuse entrance. Ok moving on Felicity was hands down the best!!! So theatrical and animated she made our tour so great! Highly recommend and we skipped all the long lines!

Excellent tour of Roman Colosseum and surrounding area.
Serena from Blue Cat Tours provided us with an excellent private tour (just two of us) of the Roman Colosseum, the Forum, and Palatine Hill. We were extremely pleased with our experience. She is very knowledgeable about the history and archaeology of this area and clearly enjoys sharing her knowledge with visitors. Logistics were flawless. She met us in front of the metro stop at the scheduled time and had all our tickets already prepared. This allowed us to skip most of the lines for the three venues. Her English is excellent and she was able to answer our questions as we travelled through the sites. She paced the tour well and adjusted on the fly if we wanted to spend more time in one area and less in another. She also made sure we had opportunities for water breaks and time in the shade as we were in Rome during the July heat wave. She finished up right at the three-hour mark and gave us a great recommendation for a lunch restaurant before she left. I would absolutely recommend Serena and Blue Cat tours for visitors who appreciate the history of this area and want to learn more. I should note that the tour does require a fair amount of walking and has stairs and inclines. The Colosseum does have an elevator but even so, wear comfortable walking shoes and make sure you have appropriate sun protection.

Knowledgeable Guide and Great Tour
Overall, we really enjoyed this excursion. Our tour guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and did an excellent job explaining the history and significance of the Vatican Museums, the Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter’s Basilica. Her enthusiasm and expertise made the experience much more enjoyable. The only drawback was the meeting location. The instructions for where to meet the tour group were not clearly explained and it was difficult to find the correct meeting point. More detailed directions, a map, or recognizable landmarks would make the start of the excursion much less stressful. Once we found the group, everything went smoothly and we had a wonderful experience. I would recommend this excursion.

Excellent Vatican tour!
Patricia did an excellent job moving us through the vast sections of the museums, Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s Basilica. Very knowledgeable about many sculptures and paintings, tapestries and maps. We learned a lot in what could be a very overwhelming place.
