Ostia Antica is truly a hidden gem! Just a short train ride from Rome, this ancient Roman town is so well-preserved, and unlike Pompeii to the south, so much less crowded! I feel like if you had to choose between the two sites, I would visit Ostia - similar time period, but way less crowded! Of course, Pompeii has the story behind it of the eruption, but if you are in Rome, Ostia Antica is well worth the visit. And, we cannot say enough about our guide, Alberto. He was incredible! He made Roman history and the town of Ostia come alive with his amazing story-telling! Thanks for making this visit for special for us, Alberto!

Great Transportation Option from Cruise to Airport

This worked great. The van was air conditioned, clean, comfortable and comfortably accommodated us and our luggage, which was a substantial amount for a long trip. We were off the ship more than an hour ahead of the scheduled pickup time fully prepared to wait. When I let the operator know, they switched us to driver that was already there instead of having us wait. Excellent service.

Perfect choice for large groups/families

Driving in and around Rome is not for the faint of heart but our driver was fantastic! This is a long trip and we have been in numerous vans that accommodate 6 people and lots of luggage and this was the most luxurious van of the trip! He was waiting for us at the limo/driver section with our name on a sign. Started communicating as soon as we landed and put me completely at ease that once we finished in baggage claim that we would have transportation and a driver waiting for us. I would highly recommend this driver (Emanuel) to anyone. He was unable to get to our hotel due to the Italian liberation day. The street was closed. Instead he found a close point and guided us to him so we could make it to the cruise port. Turns out, he does custom tours for visitor as well, including an "Everybody Loves Raymond" tour. Part of the show was filmed in the city were he lives, outside of Rome.

Very professional

Clean and comfortable luxury ride from Rome to the airport. Our driver arrived promptly & let us know he was outside our hotel. He also pointed out a few sites in an area that we didn't have a chance to see during our short stay in Rome which were very interesting. I was a little bit nervous about his arrival since after booking there was not too much communication (other rides/tours I have booked sent several messages) but I needn't have worried as the driver had it all in hand.
