A great outing

I would recommend this outing for all. The Captain and the boat guide were very friendly and very responsive to questions. You can tell they love their job. We did our tour at 8:15 a.m. The lake was calm. They have a cafe, store, and normal restooms. The road out from Jasper to the lake had lots of wildlife so drive slower than normal.

Amazing Experience! Saw so much wildlife!

This tour was AMAZING!! Our guide, Logan, is a wildlife biologist and incredibly passionate and knowledgeable. He thoroughly explained so much about the wildlife, ecosystems, and recent wildfires. He even took the time to show us the collection of antlers and horns he had. I cannot stress enough how enjoyable he made this experience! He started off by taking us on a “detour” to go to a spot where grizzlies were recently sighted. We didn’t see them, but the effort was appreciated and I loved his excitement! The rest of the trip was up Maligne Lake Road - and we saw so much wildlife - moose (3x!), big horn sheep, elk, white tail deer, pika! I know wildlife sightings aren’t really in the guide’s control (though he helped us find pika), but he made sure everyone got photos, waited as long as he could, and let people move around to get a better look. It’s also nice not to be the ones doing the driving! We were able to fully focus on enjoying the wildlife 💕 We were dropped off at Maligne Lake with enough time to browse the gift shop and use the bathrooms before our cruise (a separate company does the cruise portion). After the cruise, we were able to eat before heading back, and we stopped at a few more spots before finishing the tour. This was worth every penny and a great way to end our stay in Jasper!

Great viewing experience

This was a really good experience. Logan was our guide. He was very knowledgeable and also very personable. We saw two grizzlies and several moose including a large bull. My wife was very pleased to see these animals so all was well! Would highly recommend.

Even if you have an...

Even if you have an appointment they can accommodate you almost whenever you want to go up or down. The Tram is crowded but a short trip and the guide is informative and funny! When we went up it was foggy and snowing! Very enjoyable, as two of us are from Colorado and love winter weather! The cafe had about the best mocha I’ve had in a long time! Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Loved it!

A fantastic tour with an amazing guide

Logan just gave us the best tour of our travels so far, and we've done a lot of tours! His knowledge and enthusiasm was second to none and he went above and beyond to show us as much wildlife as possible. He was also a very friendly and helpful, and a good driver (which always helps!). We saw moose, a bald eagle, chipmunks, red squirrels and a deer. Logan also showed us various plants in the forest and gave us sooooo much interesting information about the wildlife, wildfires and Jasper's history. He's a real asset to the company. Thank you Logan.

Awesome and informative!

Pete did a great job! He travelled at a steady pace, but made sure to wait for everyone. He was very informative regarding glaciers and how they are formed. We learned a lot, saw some awesome sights, got some good exercise and had fun! We would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for more than just a bus ride to the glacier.

Excellent overview of the...

Excellent overview of the area, history and tour of Jasper NP and area! The Maligne Lake cruise was excellent and both the boat Captain Sam and tour guide Aurnab were informative, great sense of humor and respectful of the past culture. Our tour guide and driver, Ross was so fun, every animal encounter, he pulled over so we could all experience the wildlife. He did a wonderful job driving us safely and explaining Medicine Lake, water flow, and wildlife. Very worthwhile tour and Ross was great!

Our daughter booked this...

Our daughter booked this trip forgetting her parents are over 65 but it was great. We didn’t expect to have to paddle or wear wetsuits! Arron and Aaron were extremely patient and helpful with our wetsuit and paddling issues. They made rafting so enjoyable. We wouldn’t hesitate to take this trip with them again!

Wow experience!

Wow! Loved it. Such a great activity and well organised by tour provider. Suitable for almost anyone. Court was our guide and did a fantastic job rafting down the river, chatting with everyone; sharing stories about Jasper and happy to answer questions. So much fun getting splashed and being a warm day it was refreshing. A memorable experience and a highlight of our time in Jasper.

A fantastic experience!...

A fantastic experience! We were lucky enough to have Jan as our tour guide for the day. He was very knowledgeable, friendly, funny and has an excellent eye for spotting the wildlife! We opted for the hike instead of the Lake cruise and it was a great decision in our opinion as Jan took a smaller group of us for a hike through part of the forrest around the Lake. He was able to answer all the groups questions while giving a detailed history lesson of the Lake and surrounding area. He was also able to identify a wide variety of plants and even animal tracks in the mud. Over the course of the whole tour we were lucky enough to see Moose, Deer, Elk, Bald Eagles and Osprey, all while taking in the scenery of the national park and the devastation that the 2024 forrest fires caused. We would recommend this trip to anyone and would also recommend any of the other trips that Sundog Tours offer as they have such friendly and knowledgeable staff working for them.

Winter Wildlife tour

We were picked up from our hotel by a very friendly lady driver who took us to various locations around Jasper. We got to see lots of lovely scenery and animals the best of which was a black bear. He was eating Berries on the side of the road. Keeping a respectful distance we had lots of time to watch the bear and take photos. This was the highlight of the trip. We also saw elk, longhorn sheep, bald head Eagles including juveniles. Also Osprey and squirrels. Would definitely recommend this tour. It's well worth it.
