Alice in Muranoland

My wife and I had an incredible time on this trip, and especially enjoyed Alice as our tour guide! She was a joy to listen to, and shared lots of information about Murano/Burano and Italy in general. On top of traveling to Murano and Burano, we also got a chance to learn about the smaller islands that exist in Venice’s lagoon. It was amazing! Murano and Burano were beautiful, and the glass/lace demonstrations were a treat! There was also adequate time on each island to explore, which was very nice. The boat ride was relaxing and smooth (with a very good captain), and we even got to stop on our way back to Venice to see some massive jellyfish. My wife and I would highly recommend this experience to everyone, and would especially recommend Alice as a tour guide!!

Great start to a Venice trip!

We had the best time on this tour. A great way to start our trip because then we knew some areas and places that we could go back to on following days! Carlo was amazing and showed us a lot in a short amount of time, including some Venetian staples and how to tell the authentic from the rest. We had plenty of food and really enjoyed the experience.

Pasta, wine, wine, wine=win win win!

What a great class! We had 22 people (seats for 24) and it worked seamlessly. Everyone was able to assist in the making of tiramisu and then onto pasta making-where we each were given the ingredients to make pasta and a machine for use for every two people. After we made our pasta the wine came out, they used our phones for pictures (just us as a couple) with the pasta before it went off to be cooked. While we waited the wine poured and poured and poured! And of course there was wine with our cooked pasta Side note: They worked well with those who had food allergies too! Marta and Selena were fantastic!! You could see the love for what they do. I highly recommend this experience.

Everything about this tour was excellent. Meeting place was well organized and professional with an air conditioned office to wait in. Our tour guide was so very knowledgeable and easy to understand. Always kept us informed of timing, distances, tickets and security. The Basilica and Palace were both so beautiful to see and interesting to learn all the history of Venice. A definite must do with this company City Wonders.

Highly recommended. Great guide.

A very good tour. It covers a lot of the main attractions. There is a lot of walking but also time for breaks and lunch. Our guide Marie was brilliant. Very knowledgeable and funny. We all had earpieces and could hear Marie even if she was some distance away. Highly recommended.

Francesca was a terrific guide

The welcome was warm and efficient outside the museum in St Mark's square. Francesca our guide was very professional, very knowledgeable and good at guiding our group through the hoards of other visitors. She also suggested the café in the museum for an inexpensive lunch with a great view after the tour which lasted around 3 hours.

Best Dolomite Trip with Chiara our Guide

Great tour to get away from the busy Venice and explore the calmer nature. Chiara was the best guide we could ask for, from being insightful to helping our party with other Venice planning and going above and beyond. She truly made the trip and experience memorable. For the lunch venue at the lake, it will most likely be Albergo Miralago (which is more Austrian than Italian and has limited non-meat options). Feel free to bring your own lunch as well, which is what we did and allowed us to explore more of the lake (walk the east side which is more shaded and less touristy). Cortina was a fun experience as well, with an hour long stop I recommend trekking away from the touristy shopping area and explore calmer neighborhoods - we stumbled upon a coffee shop at a climbing gym at Cortina360 which had great coffee with wonderful views. The bus ride can be a bit long, but there are bathroom and snack stops at clean places which was much appreciated. Would recommend to book this trip while you’re in Venice!

Amazing Experience in Venice

This trip was amazing! It is just a sample of the beauty of Venice. It was well worth it! Phillipe was great! I needed the elevator and he was helpful and caring. I really appreciated that. He was knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. The gondola ride was well done and not rushed. Flavia took us to the islands of Murano and Burano. She was also very knowledgeable. I loved the Murano glass demonstration but I loved Burano's charm. I came back very happy. I would highly recommend this tour!

It was nice to get out of Venice and see these two villages. The murano glass blowing demonstration was amazing and enough time after was allowed for shopping. Our tour guide, Francesca, described all the areas as we traveled on our boat to the islands and was very knowledgeable. Borano was a quaint town where you can see ladies making lace by hand and then purchase some of the beautiful works. Our was a nice way to spend a half a day.

It was a very pleasant and good learning experience. First of all, our guide was wonderful and funny. I think her name was Elisa. She had pictures and book to explain how Venice was built. Her stories about Dukes( Doges) and history of Venice was very informative. I thought she was very funny and made us laugh. Learned a lot!

worth the price

excellent educational tour led by Sarah. learned a wealth of information about St Marks Basilica, Doge Palace and Venice in general. after these tours there was an hour and a half to explore, eat lunch, etc before gondola tour. this was also very pleasant, lasting about 45 minutes though the canal. be sure to arrive at tour operators locations in time to check in.
