Partake in one of Italy’s most time-honored art forms during this two-and-a-half-hour small-group glass-blowing workshop on the island of Murano. Suitable for beginners, workshops include a live demonstration and hands-on instruction in shaping molten glass. My boys both had a once in a lifetime experience. This was a nice and memorable experience for my 14 and 12 year olds who made tumblers. They had a great tour (which is limited to 4 people in each group. We only had 3 people do it in our group and we had an exceptional experience! Recommend booking for an early class (10am) if you would like to pick up your tumbler or vase (depending on which one you decide to make) because your item takes another 3-4 hours after you make the glass, before it is ready to be picked up and taken home. If it is not ready, you may come back the following day or they can ship to your home address.

Words cannot express how much we enjoyed ourselves with this experience. Tam was an excellent instructor, and this was the highlight of our trip to Venice. The only downside is that I now want a follow-up class… I think I’m addicted to glass blowing. If you’re on the fence, do it!

Amazing experience. I was always fascinated by glassblowing and this is probably the only time in my life that I would get to try it. Tam was a great instructor and very patient. My piece turned out better than I expected and Tam was there to guide you every step of the way. I opted for the pickup after 3 hours because I my hotel was in Venice but you can also pay to have it shipped to you.

My husband and I had such a fun time making our own pieces! Truly a once in a lifetime experience getting to do this class. We paid to have the items shipped back to us in Texas, for 4 pieces it was about $90 euro to ship (March 2026).

Great experience! Hands on while other tourists can just watch. Staff was very nice and love that our Murano souvenirs are our own unique creations. We stayed on Murano island so it was easy to go back and pick up our glasswork (ready 3 hours after class ends).

Fabulous experience for all ages. We did it for my daughter’s 17th birthday and had a blast. You learn about glass blowing and tour the workshop before creating your own piece. Our instructor was very knowledgeable and friendly. You do it in a group of four so there is plenty of time for questions and practice.

I highly recommend this experience! It's truly hand-on and gives you appreciation for how hard it is to make such amazing pieces. Tam (our instructor) was an excellent teacher. Being in the factory with the artists as they work and share the space gave you a feel for how fast and precise it has to be. It's the real thing!! I'm a potter and with clay you have plenty of time to create something as slow as you want, this is definitely not the case with glass! Impressive factory! And to top it off over 50% of the artist and assistants to the artists were female, which I love to see!

Be prepared for an unforgettable experience. The opportunity to make Murano Glass on Murano. The staff was amazing and our instructor, Tam, was great. My wife doesn't speak Italian, but no worries, because Tam is originally from Australia.
I highly recommend this class for anyone looking to have a great, unique experience while in Venice

We participated in a glassblowing class led by Tam and it was such an amazing experience! We received detailed, hands-on instructions, and then made our own pieces (with a lot of her help)! The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We were able to ship our pieces back to the States. Would definitely recommend if you get to Murano!

We had a magnificent experience with our glass artist, Hillary. She was excellent in her teaching - both demonstrating and leading us through practice & then the actual process of making our own glass vessels, all 87(!!!) steps of the process! Hilary kept it fun while keeping us safe & smiling. The staff in the gallery were also incredible - friendly, & helpful in every way, securely packing our purchases to ensure they made it home safely. We will return. Thank you!!

We toured many Murano glass factories this one is BY FAR the BEST! Take time and take a private tour you will not be disappointed! From when you check in until you leave they are all so attentive & kind! HILLARY was our teacher & she has patience and personality! This was hands down my favorite part of visiting Venice. Out instructor Melissa, was incredibly skilled, patient, and made learning glassblowing so much fun. It was great being able to get a hands-on and up close experience with the workshop. I was anble to leave with my own handmade vase and a huge appreciation for the art—highly recommend!

Like no other experience. This is NOT a crazy group tour where you feel like cattle being herded. We were lucky enough to have just me and my fiancé. We got a personal tour from Hilary of the entire factory before getting a very personal experience making our own glass bowls. She was absolutely amazing, passionate, and caring. She was so patient (especially with me and my clumsy hands). We had our bowls shipped home and that’s totally worth it.
If you are looking for a more intimate experience, spend the money and make this memory.

What an amazing experience! This was an incredible workshop and I highly, highly recommend it! You get to learn the absolutely basics with expert guidance in a safe format. You get to experience this beautiful art and come away with your own unique piece. Hillary is a great teacher. If you do the early morning session at 8am you get to pick up your piece of glass in the early afternoon before you leave the island.

Where to begin?! This was an amazing experience, with guidance from our expert instructor, Hillary, who we learned has an MFA and over 16 years experience working with glass and teaching. She walked us through the process, providing just the right amount of detail without overwhelming us. She made the whole experience feel safe and exciting. Once we started the actual step-by-step process of creating our glass piece, we felt prepared and confident, with Hillary talking us through everything the whole time, assisting when needed. Best parts: blowing the glass to the size we wanted, turning the glass in the colored fragments, and being coached to create the type of piece we wanted. One thing to keep in mind when booking: you’ll have to wait a couple hours afterwards for your pieces to cool before you can take them home. So you’ll either need to book an early class, come back another day, or have them ship it home for you.

One of a kind, must do experience with your family. Very educational and thoughtful your and workshop. Advice to anyone traveling by boat… be sure to double check you are at the right meeting spot. There are a lot of glass blowing companies that want your business. We accidentally stopped at the wrong one but our tour guide called me and was waiting for us..: thankfully. Highly recommend. We now have glass pieces to bring home for a memory from our trip!

Great experience for the family! Opportunity to take home a hand-crafted glass cup, bowl, or vase with the help of a master glass artisan. Our family of 5 booked a private session (they only allow 4 per group, which is fine because it allowed me to be the full-time cameraman). Our girls are 18, 15, and 12, and it wasn’t too difficult for any of them with the full-time assistance of one of their staff. It does get hot, although there is a gentle breeze in the factory which made it relatively comfortable. Our glass artisan was Emelia, originally from the United States, so her English was perfect. She’s very patient and an excellent teacher.
I would recommend wearing closed-toe shoes, and also long pants. Some times there will be splashes of hot glass and 2 of my daughters experienced this on their legs. Not to be alarmed, as they mentioned it to me afterwards, and they didn’t even flinch, but I think it would be a good idea to not have any exposed legs. Also, there is glass everywhere, so I would not wear sandals or slides. Just my 2 cents. Otherwise, it was a very memorable experience. They even ship it back to your home country, which makes it super convenient. I would highly recommend for families traveling to Venice and wanting a memorable experience.
