Partake in one of Italy’s most time-honored art forms during this two-and-a-half-hour small-group glass-blowing workshop on the island of Murano. Suitable for beginners, workshops include a live demonstration and hands-on instruction in shaping molten glass. Make an original art object to take back home as a souvenir, ready for pickup the next day. Your glass piece can also be shipped worldwide at an additional cost.

We had a wonderful time! Would definitely do it again, in a heartbeat. We each made a drinking glass and had them ship them home to us - cost to AZ in the US was 70 Euro.

We did the Create Your Own Glass experience at Wave Murano Glass and absolutely loved it. This was such a cool and memorable thing to do while in Venice.
The team was fantastic. They took their time with us, explained everything clearly, and made sure we felt completely safe while still letting us really experience the glassblowing process ourselves.
It was also fascinating just watching the factory in motion. Everyone works so seamlessly together, creating these incredible pieces of art right in front of you. You could honestly stand there and watch them work for hours.
And the best part—we actually got to take home the pieces we created! Since we were continuing our travels, we had everything shipped home to Ontario for only €60, which made it incredibly easy.
So much fun, very hands-on, and something completely different. I would absolutely recommend the experience, especially if you want to do more than just shop for Murano glass—you actually get to make it! ❤️
What an incredible experience! You are truly in the heart of a real glass factory - not a touristy demonstration- they are literally working all around you. This was a true highlight of our trip- actually learning about, getting down and dirty making our own creation. The best part of this experience is you get to choose what you want to make- not what they tell you to make. I made a bowl and my husband made a glass, the other couple made a ball and a votive vase. You can choose your style and colors. Our guide was so sweet and informative and made sure our creations came out just as we wanted! It was such a blast - pun intended!

A superb experience! Heidi was super welcoming and knowledgeable. She supported our small group of three to make our own drinking glasses (or vases) in personalised colours and patterns. She explained each step of the process and helped us at every stage. Her enthusiasm on a swelteringly hot August afternoon was unparalleled. A really enjoyable workshop and one that I would not hesitate to recommend.

We had a wonderful experience at the Wave Glass Factory. Everyone was polite and helpful. Our instructor, Heidi, was skillful and patient with our family during our experience. My adult daughter and I participated in an incredible cultural, hands-on glassmaking class, and it exceeded our expectations. Our instructor was highly knowledgeable and walked us through the entire process, making us feel comfortable and confident as we created our pieces.
We learned about Murano glass and its history, the company, and various glassblowing techniques before focusing on the specific methods we would use. The experience began with a detailed walkthrough, where we handled the tools and equipment ourselves.
One of the highlights was working side by side with skilled artisans in a functioning glass factory, actively producing and fulfilling real orders. It was such an inspiring environment. The instructor adapted perfectly to our preferences, offering just the right amount of guidance based on how much support we wanted.
I highly recommend the full immersive experience. We chose to wait the three hours for our piece to cool so we could take it with us instead of shipping it. In the meantime, we enjoyed a great local restaurant and some shopping, an added bonus to an already memorable day.

Absolutely loved the glassblowing class. Our teacher walked us through every step, and made us feel safe and supported with the process. This was a highlight of my Italy trip, and I would strongly recommend taking it. I had them ship my glass home since it had to cool overnight, and I can't wait to see and use it.

The class was definitely a little expensive but worth it. Being on the production floor was a cool experience and our teacher Melissa was super helpful during the class itself. Just a heads up shipping your glass item can get a little expensive so it’s better to carry it back with you.

We have been to several places to see glass blowing demonstrations but nothing is the same as doing it yourself. Heidi was brilliant in guiding us through the techniques for our glass blowing and at the end of it we each had our very own unique Murano glass piece - what an experience - an absolute must if you want to really understand the skill and techniques of this art.

This was an amazing experience. Our teacher was so kind and patient. We learned all about the process and got to do every step from gathering the glass to blowing it and shaping it. She helped all along the way and didn't make anyone feel bad for not knowing anything. I went in without any experience at all and came out with a beautiful vase. I highly recommend this experience!
