Fun Rickshaw Tour
We are a family of four including two teenagers, and we had two rickshaws, one operated by Itaru and the other operated by Sho. This was so much fun and I would highly recommend it! Even though it was raining, we were pretty well-protected under the rickshaws’ hoods and rain covers, and there were also warm blankets. We saw a lot of sights in Asakusa and got a lot of interesting info along by the way, as well as many great pictures. I am glad we did this.

Lots of fun, recommend
As first timers in Japan, we went to this tour knowing it was for tourists and it would be slightly cheesy. It exceeded our expectations. The meal was tasty but mediocre, exactly as expected. The show itself was a lot of fun. We learned a lot about Sumo wrestling. We were also smart enough not to challenge the 500 pound guys at the end, though it looked a lot of fun to try.

Fun experience
We learned so much about mochi and had fun making it with a very small group of 4 students. It was a great way to spend time with my 10-year-old. At the end you are served tea along with the mochi you made. It will likely be more than you can eat. Owa is a wonderful instructor!

We had a fantastic...
We had a fantastic experience on this food tour with Simon. It was the perfect mix of delicious food, cultural insight and local story telling. Every stop felt thoughtfully chosen. We visited small family run shops to hidden gems hidden behind secret doors. We would never have found these wonderful venues on our own!!
Kudos and thank you Simon!!

A Heartwarming Taste of Japan
Cooking authentic Japanese dishes in a real Japanese kitchen was nothing short of magical. Yuca welcomed us with such warmth and generosity, guiding us with patience and passion as we learned to prepare Ramen and Gyoza from scratch.
It wasn’t just a cooking class — it felt like being invited into a piece of her world.
Truly one of the most unforgettable highlights of our entire trip.

Best experience. MUST book with Max!
Max from Ninja Food Tours was INCREDIBLE! He is so passionate and knowledgeable about sake and also incredibly personable and entertaining. My husband and I had the best time learning about the history of sake and tasting a few of Max’s favorites. If you book this tour, youMUST request Max for a truly incredible and memorable experience.

Perfect way to spend a morning in Tokyo!
This was such a fun way to better understand Japanese food and culture. Our instructor spoke perfect English and explained everything clearly. The dishes were simple but delicious and we were able to prepare a beautiful meal in two hours. Highly recommend!

Book with Sam as your guide!!
GET AN IDP (INTERNATIONAL DRIVERS PERMIT BEFORE YOU DO THIS!). They will not let you go.
It's a bit stressful at first with the safety briefing but it's much smoother once you get out there.
Staff and our guide, Sam, were amazing! Japan doesn't work on tips, but they are appreciate (and well deserved) by the time you finish.
You definitely get your money's worth!

Excellent Chado Experience
This was an excellent private experience with just the 4 people in my group. This experience is inside of a school of chado, so it is a great learning experience from an established instructor. She was extremely nice, and explained the history of the tea ceremony as well as different types of tea ceremonies and what the actions meant (e.g., why we turn the cups around). We even got to try to whisk our own matcha. I tend to avoid things meant for tourists, so I was trying to avoid the experiences that sounded like just dressing up and drinking tea. This one met all of my expectations and was one of the highlights of my trip. Highly recommend to anyone interested in learning about the way of tea.

The history of the samurai and ninja
The tour was wonderful because the guides explained the history behind the samurai and the ninja and their differences. They also went through why there are no longer samurai. I love history and this was very informative. I also learned a lot about the samurai costumes and their swords. I had no idea that ninjas were basically farmers and fisherman. I would highly recommend this to.

Tōkyō Go-Karts: a must do
We had a great experience. Our guide spoke excellent English which made things go smoothly. It was an awesome way to experience some of the sights of Tokyo. The guide took plenty of photos for us to share with family and friends. His hospitality was excellent as well. Due to the heat he stopped at a vending machine and purchased (shouted) us a water obviously realising we needed it. Travelling through the streets with traffic was a great experience as was being able to see many of the sights along the way. Would highly recommend this experience to anyone travelling from other countries.

An interesting experience
Lots of fun. A great lesson and experience learning hitting techniques. Also learned how to put on Kendo uniform which consisted of the Keikogi (a jacket-like top) and the Hakama (skirt-like trousers). We also wore protective equipment, a Bogu (armor).
