Really fun experience. Joe was really knowledgeable and such a nice guy. Went very fast so not sure we retained it all but worth getting the basis of sake to use in the future. Definitely eat before as they recommend - we ran out of time and got drunk quickly. Overall really fun!

The tasting was extremely varied and generous. 10 tastings was too much for me. Since this was my first time tasting sake, the information provided was way above my head. The teacher was so knowledgeable and provided a great history of sake making, but not for the beginner. Everyone was definitely getting pretty intoxicated.

This is an experience you have to do if you enjoy sake or are even interested in it. You will cover an entire flavor profile, history of sake, what to look for when buying it and how different sakes taste. Not to mention how to pair it with food.
We covered a wide array of sake and were a bit buzzed by the end. Make sure to drink plenty of water during the class, and have a meal beforehand.
Most of all, DO NOT MISS THIS!
Joe, our host, was incredibly well versed and knowledgeable. 10/10 would do this again!

Had an absolutely awesome afternoon with Joe yesterday. I was the only booking for the day so it was really a private tasting. I didn’t really expect the tasting to go ahead with only one person so was very pleasantly surprised. The communication was also great leading up to tasting.
Joe was extremely knowledgeable about the intricacies of all the different sake tasted and had a wealth of information.
He also gave me many tips and suggestions for the rest of my time in Japan. He is a real “food” guy.
If you’re interested in trying sake, definitely book this tour. You won’t be disappointed.

Our Sake tasting with Max was an exceptional experience. We learnt a lot about all aspects of sake from its history to how it’s made and the different types of sake. Most of all it was a fun experience and some great sake. Max made the experience fun and informative.

Other than the place is different than stated and I went to the wrong place first, once we found it, the instructor was excellent. Really knew his stuff and we were given many different ones to try. Even gave us a sheet to take home so we would know what to buy.

This was a great experience, sampling and learning about sake! Make sure to eat beforehand, we got to tast 10 different types of sake! We were also taught about how sake was made. Along with sake, we were provided some delicious snacks. I would definitely do this again!

Great learning experience since had no idea about what to look for in sake, or how it's made. A lot was covered but Joe gave us the highlights of what to really look for. On my ANA flight back from Tokyo the day after the tasting, I actually felt like the flight attendant was impressed with me when I ordered the Junmai Daigingo from the selection of others.
