This was one of the best cookery classes we have been to but it is a difficult building to locate. Aya and Hidemi were excellent instructors. The food we cooked was amazing - I couldn't believe that we cooked so much in such a short space of time. I would highly recommend this cookery class for anyone visiting Tokyo who has an interest in Japanese cuisine.

I had such a great experience with this cooking class in Tokyo. The instructors were incredibly informative and explained everything in a way that felt approachable and easy to follow, even for someone who doesn’t regularly cook Japanese food. What I appreciated most was how accessible the recipes were — nothing felt intimidating or overly complicated, and each step was clearly explained. I left the class feeling genuinely confident and excited to try making Japanese dishes again once I got home. It was both educational and empowering, and I’d absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a hands-on, thoughtful introduction to Japanese cooking.

Our family had a wonderful experience at this cooking class. It was definitely a highlight of our trip. In three hours we helped create seven dishes. All of them were delicious, especially the sukiyaki with Wagyu beef.

This was such a fun way to better understand Japanese food and culture. Our instructor spoke perfect English and explained everything clearly. The dishes were simple but delicious and we were able to prepare a beautiful meal in two hours. Highly recommend!

I enjoyed and learned new things from the class.. Easy to follow and understand. The food that we cooked were delicious. Short lectures and explained every detail. Location was easy to find, just follow the google map, you’ll also enjoy walking on the way, lots of trees and quiet environment. The place is clean too. Highly recommend it.

We made 8 dishes, starting with dashi. Then we used the dashi in almost every other dish we made. This is real cooking and it’s exactly what I wanted. Thank you to the instructors for making it fun and relaxed. The studio was spotlessly clean and inviting and comfortable. I felt at home. And the meal was delicious. It was perhaps my favorite activity in Tokyo. Highly recommend!

Lovely small group experience, cooking many of the home cooking Japanese dishes that we don’t see in restaurants as much. We had a wonderful time with these ladies and enjoyed a tasty lunch at the end of our efforts

The location is a little tricky to find for some, but our taxi got us there perfectly. The Chefs are great! We learned how to make several delicious dishes and had a lot of fun doing it. Maybe they are not allowed but I was hoping for a little cup of sake with our lunch.

Fun and interesting! We learned a lot and made a lot of delicious food! Left with several recipes we plan to use at home.

Such a great class! Super fun to learn more about staple, seasonal ingredients and recipes used in Japanese cooking. The instructors were great, explaining techniques and making it approachable to everyone with virtually any cooking experience.

This class is great for people with all levels of cooking experience. If you're looking for a lot of hands-on experience. Note that other than cooking an egg and searing a lotus stuffed with minced chicken meat that's prepared ahead of time, you will mostly chop and mix dressings together while the staff prepares the other foods such as miso soup, rice, potatoes, etc. It's still a great class for learning to make a traditional kaiseki meal and you can't beat the price, so worth it regardless.

Amazing experience. I learned so much and they were super accommodating of my many allergies. I’d recommend this to anyone.

We learned so much in a short time! Truly authentic Japanese cooking from a Japanese chef who attended the CIA in New York! I can’t wait to try these dishes at home.
Very warm, casual atmosphere too. Would definitely recommend!!!

Small group hands on cooking class where we learnt a lot about the different foods and methods of cooking and then got to enjoy the multi course meal.
Easy to find location in a residential area.
Great experience.

Very informative, Aya and Kaori were super kind and super helpful. This class teaches SEVERAL dishes, so when I left, I felt I have a whole new bag of trick to bring back to my cooking job in the states. Exactly what I had signed up for, a wonderful experience!

My 1st cooking class in Japan and now I’m hooked. The instructors are very helpful and fun explaining the history of the ingredients and making our lunch was a fantastic way to spend the afternoon. The Sukiyaki was delicious and the cucumber salad is now one of my favorites. All of the food was tasty and I met some really fun people in the class as well.

This was one of the best things we have tried in Japan! Don’t hesitate to book this activity. You don’t need any kind of cooking skills (like my spouse! Haha!) to make these delicious dishes. The ladies were so kind, and teach you about Japanese cooking and culture.
Tony_K, Oct 2024
Being able to create a gourmet meal and then dining on it! The small class size, and two instructor’s was an excellent ratio.

Very relax and friendly environment. We cooked 7 Japanese dishes under the guidance. The food is authentic and delicious. We talked a lot about cooking, culture, and travel. The instructor was knowledgeable and patient, making the whole experience enjoyable and educational. Each dish was explained in detail, and we learned many new techniques and tips. The ingredients were fresh and high quality, which made a big difference in the taste of the dishes. The class was well-organized, and the pace was just right, allowing us to enjoy the cooking process without feeling rushed. It was a wonderful way to spend the day, and I highly recommend it to anyone interested in Japanese cuisine or looking for a fun and unique activity. I'll definitely be coming back for more classes in the future!
