We begin this walking tour at one of the oldest pastry shops in Sintra, Sapa. You will be able to try the famous "queijada" pastry from there and a coffee whilst enjoying the views of the town and the National Palace. A Short Stopover in Sintra!

We stopped in Sintra between stays in Coimbra and Lisbon. We did not have much time but hired Caio for a private tuk tuk tour. Caio picked us up right by the train station, took care of storing our luggage, and gave us a great tour of the area. We saw the gorgeous vegetation, the castles and the coastal area. Caio was knowledgeable, kind and paid attention to our schedule. He also made the extra effort to get our luggage and us back to the train station on time. Highly recommend this private tour with Caio!

Beyond Amazing!

My husband and I had the pleasure of touring with Miguel for this entire fantastic day. Miguel was the most gracious and hospitable host and we learned so much from him. He took us to so many places which allowed us to see different areas of Portugal and yet it didn’t feel rushed or compacted. And Miguel seemed to know every breath-taking viewpoint. Wonderful Day

Sonia the guide and her trainee Katerine were marvellous. Sonia is a wealth of knowledge and very personable. She was able to skip the lines at Pena Palace. She customized the day to our interests. Katerine did most of the driving and we felt very comfortable with her. I totally recommend booking a private tour. It made seeing the palace so much easier and enjoyable only navigating the crowds with four people. We began the day as strangers and ended as friends. Wonderful girls.

The tour guide was...

The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable friendly and very accommodating. He made our day special by bringing us for lunch to an authentic Portuguese restaurant and to capo da doc with spectacular views. My one suggestion for Viator would be to let prospective tourists know that this tour involves very steep walking trails for at least 0.25 miles before entering the castles. This information would be extremely helpfully to those who might not be able to make such an arduous walk.

It was exactly what we were looking for. We had a wonderful experience. Bruno was very knowledgeable about the cities and his country as well as proud. He was very friendly, funny and just felt like a family member. We had my 87 yo healthy mom, and husband and myself. He accommodated our needs, changed things up and gave us options. He recommended a wonderful local place for lunch in Cascais. One of the best days of our 7 days of our 18 day trip. We would use him again and recommend him to anyone. This was a great trip!...

This was a great trip! Excellent communication with Viator in advance of the tour. We were able to buy our entrance and shuttle tickets ahead of time. We are so happy that we had Bruno as a tour guide. He communicated with us prior to our trip and was always responsive to my emails and texts. We were very comfortable and felt safe with his driving through the day. His knowledge of the history of Portugal and willingness to answer our many questions, including talking to us about a typical family's daily life in Portugal, was greatly appreciated. I highly recommend this tour. Sintra is amazing and the coastline is breathtaking. The jeep is very comfortable and Andre was an amazing guide: very knowledgeable and made sure we had a fantastic time. Before the tour we were contacted by Tiago who made sure we had all the information we needed about the palaces tours and how to get tickets. This tour is a must-do if you’re visiting the region.
