Tuktuk is best way to experience Sintra

Would highly suggest this tour as the best way to experience Sintra, especially with kids SIntra is a spectacular place to see, but with its hilly terrain, the tuktuk with really great guides is the only way to do it. We did not really expect to go to the beach, but we were so glad that the tour included stops at a few different beach spots and those were really a highlight of the tour and the coastline in Sintra in beautiful. Would highly recommend.

Must do experience!

I can not recommend Viator/ Sintra private tours enough. Our guide was a wealth of knowledge, took us to amazing spots for food and treats and was able to outrageously long lines. It truly felt like VIP service. If you do one thing on your trip to Lisbon/Portugal, it should be this.

I’ll start by saying I’ve generally had middling experiences with tour guides. Often they can be too heavy handed, too serious, too tedious. But all I can say is Medhi is far and away the best guide I’ve ever had. He drove us around the beautiful mountainside of Sintra for over 9 hours, taking us to every major site, and explaining the rich history and hidden lore of each place we visited with passion, humor, and intrigue. We had Bruno as our guide. We had originally booked a tour with another company and they cancelled last minute. I recommend starting early in the Tesla with Francisco to avoid the crowds. He asked our interests so we had a customized itinerary with plenty of walking, gardens, delicious pastries and lunch, and a variety of palaces. A superb day trip from Lisbon! So gorgeous! Francisco is a safe and knowledgable drive and patient and enthusiastic with all of our questions. Very kind and mellow soul.

So great we booked again second day on the spot!

Such a great tour, we booked again for the next day! Everything was unbelievably perfect. The logistics were superb-easy pickup at our hotel, great communication, perfect van. All the details were handled. Our guide, Marta, had coordinated beforehand and made lunch reservations and had everything handled. But, hands down, the highlight was our guide herself, Marta! She was an absolute joy-friendly, knowledgeable, perfect English, and just an overall great person. I’d say we all became friends after our two days together. (And we really did book her for a trip to Fatima the next day on the spot. We had such a great time with her, we were ecstatic to spend the next day as well!) Can’t recommend this tour enough! It was perfect!!
