Comfort Food with “Family”
Ilaria was amazing! She made us feel so welcome and at home from the moment she greeted us in her home. The food we made was delicious! Her ingredients so fresh and easy to find when we want to make the recipe on our own. The recipe is also quite easy to follow. This was hands down the BEST part of our trip to Rome, specifically Trastevere. Many thanks, Ilaria!

Great value & fun experience!!
Freya was an amazing guide through both the wine tasting, and the Trastavere neighborhood. She was knowledgeable and friendly and taught us quite a bit of food/wine history we didn't know before. The value on this tour was great- from the food plate that included truffle-infused products, cured meats, and aged balsamic, to the two wines (multiple glasses of each!), and the gelato to end the tour. We would recommend this tour to anyone coming to Rome- first timers and familiar travellers alike!

A Must Do!
We had the best time in this your! Natalie was an amazing, personable, and knowledgeable guide. She gave us so much history on the areas we ate in. We had a small group of only 4 people total. The food was the best we had in Rome! I wish I Could have spent the whole week with Natalie guiding us around. This is a must do in Rome!

Great experience
Guilia was a great guide! The food was over the top. 15 tastings…don’t eat before you go. I loved the fact that we were off the beaten path and away from the crowds. Great experience - we highly recommend.

A New Friend in Italy
Leonardo was our guide, he was fun and kind, an excellent communicator. He took his time and made everyone feel included. The food tour was a good way to get to know the neighborhood. Leonardo understands the history and how things came to be.
I especially liked that we crossed the Tiber River into Travestere. Everyone would enjoy this tour and especially, Leonardo.

Paola’s Tour Was a Highlight of Our Trip
Paola was knowledgeable and funny and really helped us understand local food and wine! We had a great time exploring out-of-the way places and learning some history too.

Great Tour with Sam!
The reviews that this is technically a free tour is accurate, but I think booking through Viator gives the guides a good idea of scheduling. Worth the booking in my opinion. We checked in with the guide, and once we were all there we were off on our tour.
Sam was our guide during the tour and he was great! I am a huge history nerd and learned so much about the Jewish Ghetto during the tour! I loved it!
Please remember to tip during the tour since the guides rely on the tips!

Not to be missed!
We really enjoyed the tour, Arvin had great food knowledge, was really passionate about food and made us all laugh. He was great with the whole group, and even has an amazing singing voice! Definitely a highlight of our stay.
