Top Prescott Walking Tours

Prescott was Arizona's first territorial capital, a mining boomtown where saloons outnumbered churches and not everyone who checked into the hotels checked out. Some of them, locals say, are still here. On this 90-minute, one-mile walk through Whiskey Row, your Southwestern Gothic dressed guide takes you past the Palace Saloon, the Hotel St. Michael, the Elks Opera House, the Old Firehouse Plaza and the Granite Street garage. Hear what happened at the Palace that Arizona's governor tried to cover up, why the St. Michael's upper floors run cold on warm nights, what archaeologists found beneath the parking garage, and the Hassayampa Inn story that stays with people long after the tour ends. Every story is originally researched by co-founder and local author Susan Johnson. Mother and son owned, five generations of Arizona roots, 2,000+ verified reviews. No scripts, no recycled facts. We do not enter buildings. Comfortable shoes and water advised. Your attendance is gravely appreciated.
