Our guide Natalia was Amazing! Super knowledgeable, passionatate about history and a great communicator. Super willing to inform and constantly encouraging asking questions. The snacks and drink provided were also lovely. The drink was very small but reasonable for the price. The group size was slightly larger than anticipated, but the tour guide still managed to reach everyone and keep everyone engaged. We've done multiple walking tours over the years, and this is definitely one of the best ones I've experienced thanks to Natalia. Absolutely brilliant!

This is a great way to get a taste of the Duoro Valley. Our guide, Vitor, provided interesting historical notes on our drive, and did a great job keeping us informed about logistics and expectations throughout the day. The wine and food were all delicious. Some people have mentioned the wine refills during lunch were lacking, which is true, unless you ask! Don’t be shy…everyone we encountered was very accommodating and friendly. Highly recommend!

Our Douro Valley wine tour was one of the absolute highlights of our trip, and so much of that was thanks to our incredible guide, Beatriz, and our driver, Miranda. Beatriz was warm, personable, and incredibly knowledgeable. She made the entire day enjoyable with great conversation, fascinating insights about the Douro Valley, and a genuine enthusiasm that was contagious. She also went out of her way to engage with our two kids, making them feel included throughout the day. It wasn't just a tour—it felt like we were spending the day with a friend who was excited to share one of Portugal's most beautiful regions with us. Miranda was an outstanding driver. The winding roads through the Douro Valley require real skill, and we always felt completely safe and comfortable. His professionalism allowed us to relax and enjoy the breathtaking scenery without a worry. Together, Beatriz and Miranda made an exceptional team. Ramos is an amazing guide. The way he tells the history is not only very clear but artful in its style. He does a great job in chaining together connections from site to site. Make the dots clearly connect. Can't say enough about how he conducts the tour and accommodates to questions and needs. The tour itself is fantastic. From the mysteries of the Masons, to the history of the families and monarchs. Be ready with good shoes and sturdy legs because there's a lot of tight places and uneven steps.

Lilly was our guide and driver. The best! She kept the fun, conversation, and education flowing even when we got stuck in traffic due to an accident on the highway (a one off, don't let this dissuade you). She also has great people skills, managing the walking logistics with a group of variable fitness and pace. I got a kick of how she handled driving 'instructions' from one of the other guests with grace and humor. A really special guide. The tour itself was fantastic - the beaches and town vibe in Caiscais are special as is the castle in Sintra. The tour provided the right amount of time at each stop. This is the perfect tour if you are spending two - three days in the Lisbon area and want to get out of the city for a day. If you have more time, Sintra and Cascais are both special and warrant separate stays . We were on a quick turnaround to another part of the country, so this was the perfect day trip for us.
