Impressive tour of a Parmigiano Reggiano cheese maker. Saw 100,000 wheels of cheese being aged. Amazing that the only ingredients are milk and salt. Toured the Parma ham factory owned by Claudio and his wife. One person in our party was vegetarian so I was a little concerned, but the factory was spotless and no odors whatsoever.

The tour was fantastic! I would love to do it again. Mattia was a great tour guide - friendly and knowledgeable and we even got recommendations of what local foods we should try after the tour. It was so interesting to see how Parmiggiano was made and it smelled delicious. We also did have the best prosciutto of our life on this tour. It really gives you an inside look of the love, craftmanship, and care that comes with making these products.

OK. Labeled as an intimate group less than 10 but turned out it was 4 groups of 8. Also 30 plus minute drive back and forth from pickup location. Tour itself was fine.

Intellectual tour with a side of tastings

    Andrea_G, Sep 2026
This is a very interesting tour if you want to know all the technical processes and stages of making Parmesan and Parma Ham. However, it is primarily standing around listening to the guide, and only involved tasting small amounts of two cheeses of different ages and one tasting of Parma ham (4-5 thin slices), with wine. This was also standing, so it was 3.5 hours on your feet. I think we expected more food for the cost of the tour. If you are looking for something that is primarily tasting, this is not the one; and for the 10am tour we still wanted lunch afterwards. Our guide was very friendly, funny and helpful, but could be a little difficult to understand some times. Still a pleasant and very interesting outing.

Fantastic tour led by Paolo. Very knowledgeable tour guide who was happy to answer any questions. Great tour that visits smaller family run producers. You gain a full understanding and get to see the whole process of making Parmigiano Reggiano and Prosciutto di Parma. If you are a lover of good food and want a better understanding of how your food is produced this tour is a must.

The Parma tour you have to take

    Denise_W, Jun 2026
This was the tour that I didn’t know that I needed to take. Wow, how fun and informative this was. I will never look at Parmesan cheese or prosciutto the same way again. My husband and I now delve into all of the intricacies that go into making both of these wonderful foods. Our tour guide was so knowledgeable about the process and of course the area of Parma. We had a fun group there were eight of us in total. I would completely recommend this to anyone who is interested in how the cheese and hams are prepared and if I’m being honest, the taste testing at the end was pretty good too!

    Great Learning Tour

    Parma Cheese and Prosciutto Tour—Delizioso!

    Dave_S, Jun 2026
We visited Parma for our first time and wanted the “full effect” of what the area has to offer. This tour of the cheese and prosciutto factory did just that! Our tour guide a retired engineer was very knowledgeable and witty in his own way. The samplings at both factory were a real treat and beyond —delizioso! We got to meet the owner of the prosciutto factory and he took great pride in his product. Overall a great experience and a must do if you are in the Parma area.

    This tour was amazing!...

    Ashley_M, Apr 2026
This tour was amazing! Since it was a small farm, we were able to stand right there with the cheese masters as they made the cheese, which made the experience feel so personal. With a small group of only about 12 people, it never felt crowded. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and answered every single question we threw at them. I’d highly recommend this experience!
