What a great experience! We all were very much looking forward to this tour and Michelle made it even better than we were hoping for. She loves her town and it showed as she was walking us around town. We tried Parma’s best and loved all of it. Michelle was a great guide, very nice and personable.

It is very interesting, not very long or tiresome walk, nice stops and very interesting information and the guide had chosen very nice businesses. Our guide was Roberta - and we would really recommend to book a tour with her. She had great knowledge about all food topics, and also about the city that she told us when walking from place to place.

We met Michele at the given location. She was cheerful, informative and spoke English well. We visited was a quaint lavender shop. Next, we went to a cafe for amazing pastries and beverages. Following that, we sampled deli items that Parma is well known for: prosciutto and wine at a salumi shop. All along the way Michele taught us about the history of the Parma area and the food it calls home. The restaurant, Sorelle Picchi, with the pasta and Parmesan cheese was delectable! Finally, we ended at an award winning gelato place that was once a hat shop! We enjoyed every minute of the tour and highly recommended it to anyone visiting Parma.

This tour was the highlight of our stay in Parma. With the delightful and knowledgeable Erica, we were immersed into the food culture and town history of Parma and regions. This tour was unique thanks to its private nature - being for just my partner and I. Erica’s passion for this region’s food was evident thanks to her excellent training and qualifications as an official Parmigiana Reggiano taster. The inclusion of uniquely local dishes both savory and sweet and vertical tastings of Parma meats, balsamic vinegars and Parmigiana Reggiano cheeses made this walking tour a most enjoyable experience.

This private tour, led by Erica, was delightful. Erica has a good rapport with each of the shops and restaurants; it felt like we were getting the royal treatment. As a guide, Erica was very gracious and personable. She explained the sourcing and cultivation of the foods we sampled, always with a great sense of humor and in English that was impeccable. She even gave us suggestions of places to see and gain a better sense of Parma.

You get the tour guide all to your own private party. It was just my husband, myself and Roberta, who was an amazing source of interesting information about the area and all of the food we consumed during our trek around Parma. Soooo much food and all delicious! We never felt rushed and actually went a bit over the 3 hours

Julia took us at a leisurely pace throughout Parma stopping for everything mentioned on the itinerary. Start the tour with an appetite! We enjoyed Julia, the food, and learned a lot about the art and history of local foods and Parma. Super highly recommend this tour and Julia-a lifelong Parmasana.

Cecilia could not have been nicer, more experienced and helpful guide to give us a (literal) taste of Parma! Be sure to wear your best walking shoes because we covered a lot of ground over 3.5 hours. And if you get full, the restaurants and shops will be happy to pack your leftovers in takeaway boxes, great for a late-night snack!

Lisa was our tour guide. She is a local and has deep knowledge of the local food and wine. She took us to several locations within the historical city center to try different charcuterie, cheese, pasta, wine, gelato, etc. Our group was two 19 year olds, my wife and I and her father. The walking part is quite easy and you will get to see a bit of the city. My family meanders a bit so our tour ran about 45 minutes longer than usual but Lisa seemed to be enjoying herself with us. I think this is a wonderful tour and Lisa is an amazing ambassador for Parma. I would absolutely recommend this tour.

I first did this tour in 2024 and it was so good we had to come back and do it again with our family the next time we visited. This is a must-do for anyone visiting Parma, a great way to learn about the city’s rich food culture and history. The guides are super knowledgeable and bring you to delis/restaurants/gelato shops and more around the city. Make sure you come hungry because you will eat very well on this tour. I would recommend it to anyone visiting Parma!
