A Memorable Tour

We loved that the entire schedule was on time. Rachel, our tour guide, was fantastic! She was very helpful, informative with the area's history, people and places Rachel is so friendly and kind that she really took time to get to know each one of us and also made us all in the bus feel very comfortable and welcome! We loved how coordinated the tours were, especially at Hobbiton. Rachel's instructions were very clear and precise. We loved that there were stops for coffee and toilet breaks during the trip. Rachel made good recommendations on Auckland restaurants and gifts for loved ones at home, which were all excellent! She also took time to make sure we had family photos at places to make everything so memorable! And best of all, we loved the lunch and the ice cream stop, which was delicious, before we headed back to Auckland!

A Great Way to See Milford Sound

A full day from Queenstown to Milford Sound with notable stops along the way and a Milford Sound Cruise. The small group size was great — a small van (seats about a dozen) was very comfortable and offered WiFi and USB-A charging ports. Our gulde (Lynette) was fantastic, highly knowledgeable and had great stories about the local history. Well worth the full day! Milford Sound is one of the most beautiful places we have ever seen, but trying to drive there and back from Queenstown would have been too much. This tour was the perfect way to see it!

Absolutely fantastic! The customer service from every one of the staff was amazing. From the baristas on the boat to the welcoming staff at Walter Peak, the restaurant staff and the farm show hosts! The steamship was in immaculate condition and the viewing platforms inside the boiler room was fascinating for both adults and kids. The bbq buffet felt luxurious and everything was delicious! We went as a group of multiple families who had booked seperately however they managed to seat us next to each other in the restaurant which was greatly appreciated! The farm show was informative and fun and walking around the grounds was the most amazing landscaping! This was well worth the money and I would highly recommend. Can’t wait to take my family back!

A once in a lifetime...

A once in a lifetime experience. Sarah was our guide and she was incredibly knowledgeable about the glacier, and made sure to take us on a fun and beautiful adventure across the glacier. The company was very honest about potential weather cancellations, and handled a surprise cloud cover with very practiced calm. Highly recommend doing this tour!

We had an excellent tour including Rotorua, Waiotapu, Te Puia, and Māori. Our tour guide, David, was extremely knowledgeable and engaging. He was very helpful with the needs of his tour group. The sites were amazing! The geothermal springs and mud flats were amazing. The tour was enhanced by David’s selection of stops for snacks at the best bakery and ice cream shop! Beautiful Flight & Excellent Service

The flight was absolutely beautiful. We had to postpone our original booking due to weather, but I really appreciated that the company was proactive about keeping us informed. On the day we rescheduled, visibility was good, but the wind conditions were still not suitable for landing and doing the cruise portion. They contacted us and gave us the option to either move the booking to another day or continue with the flight only. I really appreciated this flexibility, especially because it’s an extra effort that many other companies don’t make. When you only have a limited amount of time in a destination it's great to have the option. We decided to go ahead with the flight. Since they spent the same time we would have spent back and forth to the cruise, it was a little long for my daughter, but the scenery was absolutely incredible and completely worth it. The pilot was very friendly and kept telling us about the places and landscapes we were seeing along the way. Another thing I really appreciated was that, before I even had to ask, they had already refunded the proportional amount for the cruise portion we weren’t able to do. During this trip, I had several other tours affected by weather where I had to chase the companies myself to rearrange things or get refunds, so this level of proactive service really stood out. Would definitely recommend!

Milford Sound - Do not miss out!!

I could not recommend this specific tour enough, but what made it even more amazing than the views and beautiful scenery was our incredible guide, Robin. She was so knowledgeable about New Zealand, its history, its culture, geography, anatomy, you name it. I’m so thankful we had her as our guide. I would recommend this over and over again to anyone visiting this beautiful country!

Must-do when in...

Must-do when in Queenstown. Did this first when I visited in February with my sisters, and enjoyed it so much, I had to take my now husband on the way to our wedding. Both of us were really nervous before the first time we both went, but the drivers are absolutely amazing (I think they said they train for 18mths before they take passengers). Ngāi Tahu tourism are an extremely professional operation, and their safety record is impeccable. They are the best for a Queenstown jet boat experience - don't skimp and go for a cheaper operator - Shotover Jet have the exclusive rights to the section of river that's best for this. So much fun - you really won't regret it (and like us, will probably want to go again as soon as you get off!)
