Very reasonably priced informative tour

I loved learning the history of this incredible venue. We have seen it for many years and have always wanted to go, and to be inside with someone very knowledgeable was very cool. So much history and so many interesting facts to learn. Being in there and exploring was totally worth it. We saw an opera after that tour and it was fun having context to our show. I would definitely recommend this tour, they happen all day and they’re worth it!

Wonderful experience....

Wonderful experience. Note that the ride to reef is about 90 minus in rough waters. So if you are thinking about taking a motion sickness medicine - do not overthink - take it preventatively. Also note this is a big boat, so more stable. However on the flip side it carries a lot of people, so can get "messy" on snorkeling platforms and in the water. But overall a great choice for first time visitors. We loved it!

If you can combine unique rides through the world's oldest rainforest with glimpses into its history, you've got the makings of a great trip. Heading out via cable car was a fun start to our day. Once in Kuranda, we had lunch, did some shopping where I bought a shirt featuring Aboriginal artwork, then we took a boat ride on the river before boarding the train back to Cairns. So much nature, history and fun, we didn't want the day to end.

Amazing!

A great way to experience the reef especially if you only have a short stay in Cairns. The boat ride out and back was almost as enjoyable as the snorkelling (loved the playlist). The crew - Joelle, Mia and Matt were super organised, friendly, fun and professional. Joelle's guided tour of the reef was amazing. She was so knowledgeable. I learnt so much about the reef, the corals and all the fish we were viewing. The crew were highly respectful of the reef and also of the safety of all their guests. They offered different levels of support to ensure everyone from first timers to experienced snorkellers had a great day. Our weather wasn't the best but it was still a great day on the reef and I will definitely head out with Reef Adventures again next time I'm in Cairns!

Definitely worth getting...

Definitely worth getting this tour. Having a driver is great, and there was enough time to enjoy a meal, go through the gift shop, and walk through the rainforest. We had Lachlan as our tour guide and he was so good. From the very beginning he was super friendly getting us all on the bus, and he had lots of cool stories and interesting facts to tell us. Also, he was super clear with instructions about where to go.

Once in a lifetime but be prepared if you get motion sick

A fantastic way to get out to snorkel at the Great Barrier Reed. You’re on a huge boat with other travelers and have the chance to see the coral and fish whether by snorkel or semi-submersible. A lovely lunch, Lycra suits, snorkels, find are provided. We paid extra for the advanced (longer) 1 hour snorkelling with a marine biologist. My 10 year old and i were nervous in the waves and Ellie was great in guiding us and providing that individual attention while Glen the marine biologist took the rest of our group out to see more (turtles!). Do note: if you get motion sick, get Rx medication and still be prepared to vomit, as many people did. Each way to and from the pontoon is 2 hours. Sit in the back outside if you tend to prevent motion sickness and don’t choose to do the submarine ride. The Crew were all so nice and friendly, looking after everyone. It was well organized. You can choose a helicopter back instead of the ship but it’s an extra fee. Communication before the activity was also good.

Don't Miss the Bridge Climb!

An absolute highlight of our visit to Sydney! We booked the twilight tour and had Lachlan as our guide - so lucky on both accounts! The first hour is pretty much check-in, orientation and suiting up with all the safety gear. After that, we started out under the bridge but still over land. When you start climbing the ladders onto the upper part of the bridge structure is when the fun really begins. In the fading daylight, you look out over all of Sydney Harbor and far off in all directions. The walkway is quite wide and the floor is solid so it feels very secure. Summiting the bridge at twilight we saw a beautiful sunset and the lights of the city come on. When we started down the sky was almost completely dark and the city was alive in lights. Throughout the climb you wear headsets so that you can hear the guide's instructions and the history provided. The guide will also take photographs of your entire group and smaller groups (traveling together). They are available to purchase but are great quality and worth the charge to show what you accomplished! While everyone is different, I would say that all but the most height-phobic can do this climb. They are used to dealing with fear of heights and almost everyone overcomes it to do the climb.

Best Blue Mountains Tour

We had a great day touring the Blue Mountains with Kunal (Koala). We had a full mini-bus but Kunal was engaging and fun and so knowledgeable. He told entertaining stories most of the way from Sydney to the Blue Mountains. We stopped in a cute town for coffee and pastries before seeing all the Blue Mountain sights. I thought the stop at the Wildlife Center would be a big yawn but they have a great variety of animals and feeding the pandamelons and wallabies was so much fun! When Kunal left as at the ferry for our ride back to Sydney, it felt like saying goodbye to an old friend. The beautiful sunset ferry ride left us all lost in our thoughts of an amazing day.

Once in a Lifetime Experience!

I highly recommend the Whale Tales Sydney Harbour whale watching experience. We went with the Cheeky Monkey boat crew of Jono (captain), Emily (whale biologist), and Alex (photographer extraordinaire). They were all very enthusiastic and we couldn't believe how many whales we saw. I would have been satisfied to see one or two. We saw several dozen – unusual, even for the expert crew. As part of the package, they send professional photos taken during the journey. It was a perfect memento from this once-in-a-lifetime memory!

Great Day in Blue Mountains

This was our first visit to Sydney, Australia, and we were looking for a guided tour to the Blue Mountains. We came across Diamond Tours, and our guide, Lloyd, exceeded our expectations. He took the time to learn every passenger’s name and provided informative commentary and local insights throughout the entire journey. In addition to the scheduled itinerary, Lloyd made extra stops at scenic locations such as Katoomba Falls, which added even more value to the experience. During our lunch stop in Glenbrook, he also offered several excellent dining recommendations. Overall, this was a fantastic experience, and I would highly recommend Diamond Tours to anyone visiting Australia for the first time and looking to explore the Blue Mountains.
