What are people saying about Madeira

Highly recommend this tour company
Highly recommend this tour company. We did another tour as well with a different one and this one not only had a better guide, it was a smaller van so less people, and the seats were very comfortable for a whole day excursion. Only comment would be that the stop at Porto Moniz needs a full two hours as it is quite busy at lunch time and for those who wanted to swim, they all commented it felt rushed and did not leave much time to grab lunch (we did not swim and still only had time to eat lunch since we had to wait for a table and do a quick walk).

Dramatic Mountain Views
Our guide Bruno was great. He shared relevant facts about the Nun's Valley while giving us plenty of time to explore and take pictures of the dramatic mountains and scenery. Our bus had a mix of German and English speaking passengers, and his ability to seamlessly translate both languages was amazing. We're glad we spent an afternoon seeing the beautiful island of Madeira.

Convenient and well organised
Pick up was on time and communication ahead was very good and detailed. The tour arrived in time for sunrise and we were lucky to have a great day for it. Pedro gave a good overview of the hikes involved. He left no question unanswered.
My only criticism is that I would have wanted to have been there a bit earlier because by the time he had finished the briefing there wasn't that much time to find a good place for taking photographs (it might be fine for people taking photos with a phone but with a camera you need a bit of time to find the best location and set everything up.
Additionally and that's nothing to do with the tour company but I think it should be in the information upfront to manage expectations: the toilets up there are only open from 9am onwards and basically to find a quiet spot when it is heaving with people is very tricky.
The PR 1 hike itself was of course also busy but still worth it. The PR 3 hike was very quiet and beautiful.

Worth the breathtaking views!
For the most part a difficult hike but very rewarding. Ben prepared us well, and stopped regularly to allow us breaks at appropriate stops. Once you arrive at the stairway to heaven, we were able to return at our own pace. Overall, would highly recommend as an experience!

Great tour with a great guide
Marco was a very informative tour guide. He provided us with great knowledge about east Madeira, especially the airport and its runway. His driving on steep roads was excellent. He kept us ahead of the rain most of the tour. I would recommend his tour to anyone.

A great way to spend an afternoon
Fab little tour of a gorgeous part of the island. Worth it for the views at the first stop alone. We also stopped at a lovely little cafe at the second stop and indulged in some chestnut treats, including cake and liqueur. Our guide was very friendly and informative. All in all, a great way to spend an afternoon.

Amazing
We had a wonderful day and would like to thank Daria our tour guide . She was excellent and never rushed us as we were with our autistic son. And a big thank you to the lovely driver Calos for taking us on the tour and specially for bringing back my son’s power bank and charger that he had left in the bus . He was very happy to have it . Thank you to Madeira adventure kingdom for an excellent service

Great hike
Even though we had some rain whilst walking, it didn’t stop us enjoying the activity. Easy to follow route and there really is no need to have a guided tour. It was nice to be able to walk at our own pace.
There are a lot of steps, which can be abit slippery when wet, so sturdy, waterproof footwear is essential. A bonus of seeing the waterfalls when it has rained, is that they are more spectacular and the levadas were full too.

Not for the faint hearted but we loved it
Madeira is advertised as a beautiful island of mountains, sea, valleys and levadas coupled with beautiful scenery.
When researching how best to get a taste of all this we felt that tarmac roads and cushioned seats wouldn’t let us experience the true Madeira. Viator, through The Green Devils allowed us a true off road experience and we loved it. Thank you

Worth Visiting
It was a very pleasant trip as only three of us. Goncalo was very pleasant and informative,he even guided us through the forest and showed us the beauty of it! He also gave us plenty of tips about Madeira and Funchal in general. I'd definitely recommend!

Exceptional experience!!!
It was a truly exceptional experience! Luca and Chiara were amazing! We learned so much about the island and the marine wildlife and the best part is that we saw incredibly rare whales and it was such a highlight of our honeymoon! I highly recommend!!

Great trip to the West. Of the Island
We expected it to be cold in the mountains it wasn't. Lot of great photo opportunities. Never felt we were pushed for time. Renato was an excellent guide, certainly knew everything about Maderia, very very informative. The mini bus was new and very clean, but a bit cramped if you had long legs.
