What are people saying about Madeira

Solo trip as a young woman
Great first time visiting the East side of the island of Madeira. A full day packed with beautiful sights and short walks. Our tour guide was great and explained everything to us and gave us lots of great information about the island! I would say that it is quite a long day in a bus so if you get travel sick take note! Lovely way to meet some people though and to visit the island.
Pick up is very handy and the bus in air conditioned with comfortable seats.
Overall would recommend !

Wild drive and great experience
It was amazing
We had so much fun. The guide - Miquel, gave us a great time. Very informative and cheerful
A small minus was the fix lunch.. we would liked a much lighter lunch and spend more time in the pools of Ponto Moniz or Seixal beach
The last 20 minutes on the highway was also not very comfortable as we are driving fast in an open car
But the tour was amazing and I would definitely recommend this

Wonderful hiking experience
Really friendly driver. Amazing hike. And very convenient, with drop off at the start of the hike, and pick up at the end. This was parcticuly useful given difficulty parking, being able to access the top car park without worry. Perfect timing for sunrise. Overall a wonderful experience.

Madeira West Island tour
Great tour of the west of the island with all the major sights covered. Particularly enjoyed Porto Moniz; swimming in the outdoor rock pools was a real highlight and it’s a shame we couldn’t stay longer! Friendly and knowledgeable bus driver who was funny and didn’t make it feel rushed.

Great tour!
Great half day tour, out guide and driver Alfredo was very knowledgeable and gave us lots of local information and pointed out lots of interesting places and plants along the way. There was enough time in each place and I felt the tour was well paced.

Great hike, highly recommended
We had a wonderful day with Nadia, she was very attentive, knowledgeable and considerate of everybody in the group. The walk was challenging, especially in the heat, but there were many opportunities to stop for a break and no sense of rushing so we could go at our own pace. The views are very rewarding and the hike was very memorable. Definitely one to do with a guide if you are wanting to hike up instead of driving.

A great trip out
An amazing trip around the north west coast of the Island. Noum was very interesting, being able to speak both Portuguese and English whilst driving up and down those roads was incredible! We made a group consensus not to stop at the first stop as it was too foggy but to do it on the return journey. The next village after that was lovely as was the lunch stop - enjoyed the lido and the waterfall after. The stop after was beautiful although I think 25 was perhaps a little too long?? Return journey was good and stopped at the first stop! All in all a great day out for the family. Would recommend

The trip to the start of...
The trip to the start of the hike was smooth and we got clear instructions from our driver Diago on how to begin the walk and the plan for pick up. He was really friendly and punctual. Great communication throughout the whole process! The hike itself was so beautiful despite zillions of steps! Would use this company again.

Fantastic! I recommend
Our guide/driver was fantastic. Knowledgable, friendly and keen to give us the most out of our experience. Pack for all weather conditions and bring lots of water!
Only negative thing to note is the car did break down at the end of the trip and the company arranged to have us picked up.
This experience was the highlight of the trip and such a great way to see Madeira and avoid driving around the tight and steep roads.

Do it do it do it! Wow!
Wow! Friendly guide and on time for pick up. Drove us up the narrow roads safely to the parking area. Took us up Pico Ruivo in the dark, we all were given head torches and stopped for plenty of rest breaks to allow for the altitude.
The 360 degree view at the top was breathtaking. It wasn’t too busy either. Looking out over the clouds across the sea, but the view inland was protected by the mountains and you could see a dramatic valley with a tiny village at the bottom. We were given tea and a snack to enjoy the sunrise with.
On the way back down, I had to remove some layers as the sun was out and the wind dropped once we were off the top of the world 😃
The group made their was down as different rates. So I often found myself alone looking out over the clouds. It was magical. Like I was on a different planet. Again the guide stopped to do a head count at various points for safety.
The climb is about 2 miles each way and you do need to be fit - The altitude is not massive, but it makes a difference. I am half marathon fit at sea level and my heart was beating faster than I would have expected it to.
This is well worth the effort. Literally a moment I will be remembering forever!

A great way to spend an afternoon
Fab little tour of a gorgeous part of the island. Worth it for the views at the first stop alone. We also stopped at a lovely little cafe at the second stop and indulged in some chestnut treats, including cake and liqueur. Our guide was very friendly and informative. All in all, a great way to spend an afternoon.

Exceptional experience!!!
It was a truly exceptional experience! Luca and Chiara were amazing! We learned so much about the island and the marine wildlife and the best part is that we saw incredibly rare whales and it was such a highlight of our honeymoon! I highly recommend!!
