It was a wonderful walk to exciting places and breathtaking views. Our guide showed and explained interesting things. The atmosphere was nice and friendly. As we had a private tour he asked us about preferences. We would book this tour again.

Booking was not completed. Driver said they couldn’t take us there due to weather conditions. Driver also said he could change the booking to the next day but never did. No communication through Viator after. Complete scam and waste of time.

It was a very pleasant trip as only three of us. Goncalo was very pleasant and informative,he even guided us through the forest and showed us the beauty of it! He also gave us plenty of tips about Madeira and Funchal in general. I'd definitely recommend!

This was a beautiful and peaceful tour. Despite it not being a misty day, the scenery is still breathtaking in the sun and it was incredible to see the old growth forest and the sweeping vistas. Gonçalo is a true local and a fantastic guide, with expert knowledge of everything from local fauna to regional history. Definitely recommend!

A scenic drive along Madeira’s north coast with a peaceful walk in the misty Fanal Forest. The trees looked magical in the light mist, and the trail was clear and comfortable. There were quite a few tourists near the road, but once you walked a little further, it felt quiet and secluded. Our guide, Gonçalo, was reserved but pleasant, and happy to chat when approached.

We had an amazing time at Fanal. Gonçalo was great with kids guiding them through the magical forest filled with fairies and suggesting perfect tree houses. Kids loved it a lot. Gonçalo also tailored our trip to our interests and speed (with kids it can be slow, so he adjusted the route). We stopped at Seixal black sand beach and Praia da Ribeira da Janela. We liked it a lot. Highly recommend to anyone!

Fantastic experience all the way through! Gustavo is delightful company and went at the perfect pace for us. He stopped in several of the most scenic places, and gave us lots of information about the formation of the island, the history, and the flora. I wish we could go again right now!
