Zakopane day trip.
Our guide for the day was Oskar, we were picked up outside our hotel and driven to Zakopane with a few stops along the way one of them being the wooden village. Zakopane is beautiful, we took the cable car ride at the top of were we went to see the Tatra mountains. We also did cheese and vodka tasting, overall it was a great trip and would highly recommend 😊

Worthwhile Experience
The trip was well organised, and our driver Max was amazing. He was helpful and friendly, and added to the experience. We ordered lunch through the tour operator, this was provided when we were at Auschwitz. It was delicious, and great value for money. I would recommend this to anyone going on the trip. My sister is vegetarian, and was catered for too. This camps involved a lot of walking and a large amount of time was spent, out in the open. I would recommend taking water, and a hat if you are going in the summer months. Our guide was good, but due to the number of people in the group and background noise as in other tour groups, we found it difficult at times to follow what was being said. The tour was well organised and transport from each camp was seamless. I would recommend this tour, although it is quite a long day it is well worth it.

Great mountain tour!!
This was a phenomenal tour. We stopped in a log cabin town and saw a legit wood carver, stopped for a vodka and traditional cheese tasting, and stopped in Zapokane for a gorgeous mountain view and lunch. Our last stop was at the baths, which was essentially a water park village, lol. I was concerned about security as a solo traveler, but their wristwatch-locker setup was totally safe and I left my valuables with no problem. Swimming was so relaxing.
Mirek and Lucas were also phenomenal hosts. Thank you for a great experience!!

A very moving experience
It was well organised and the guide was excellent. However there was a lot of walking on uneven ground at Birkenau. I felt the guide did not take account of the fact that the age range was from teens to late seventies and kept up a very fast pace that some of us struggled with.

Everything was great,...
Everything was great, from the pickup the hotel and the actual touring. It all worked perfectly. The only thing I would suggest would be a better lunch. We paid for the included lunch, and it was not good. I would have rather not paid and bought my own. But I wasn't sure if we would be someplace where we could buy one. I would specify that there are places to buy your own. Otherwise, everything was perfect and I would highly recommend the tour.

Shakes one to the core
Incredibly moving. A must see so we never forget and never repeat this civilizational stain on humanity. Our tour guide was fantastic. It only was she extremely well informed, but I can’t imagine the emotional toll she must have to endure to repeat the stories every day for each group.

100% recommend
Really good day trip. We had Kacper as our guide and he was really good. Beautiful scenery in that part of Poland and the stops were all really worthwhile - I especially enjoyed the vodka before 11am! Good value for money and the organisation was really good - all the required passes and wristbands were provided. Beware. - there are loads of these trips advertised and not all include entry to the cable car and springs - book carefully. I would 100% recommend this tour to anyone interested. Hope you get Kacper as your guide!

Highly Recommend Tour!!!
This experience was exceptional! The driver, Michael, was very accommodating and knowledgeable! The van ride was pleasant to Auschwitz. The guide, Kasia, was extremely knowledgeable and made the tour very memorable and efficient with the both sites. We highly recommend this tour!

Great tour for our Group
Our Catholic pilgrimage had an itinerary change and were not going to be going to Auschwitz after all, so we booked this for our free afternoon/evening. It was very convenient to be picked up at the hotel & the price was reasonable. Our guide at the camps was very informative and we really felt like we learned new information from him.

A very well organised day
A really memorable day out.
The driver Piotr was very good and was very clear in all the necessary instructions.
Firstly we visited the salt mine in Wieliczka. It is well organised so groups do not bump into each other. There was a lot of walking.
The visit to Auschwitz - Birkenau was also well organised. Guide Gosia was excellent. Here too the groups were well organised so you never felt like the visit was crowded. Extremely memorable though very sad to see where so many people died. It is so important to have an excellent guide for this part of the excursion. We were very lucky.
I would strongly recommend booking through Viator. They work with Krakow Direct.

Stairs were down. Site was beautiful.
The mine was educational, artistic, and beautiful. All but approximately 10 steps were going down. The floors were not slick. However, it definitely is a lot of walking. The guide was very good. It was great getting picked up in front of our hotel. The driver was very nice.

Not seeing something you are looking for?
Well-connected by road and public transport, Krakow is a perfect launch point for discovering other towns and cities in Poland. While you could set out on your own, booking an excursion that takes you around the country will help relieve the stress of planning. Day trips from Krakow include World War II-related sites—such as a former Nazi-operated concentration camp—and a UNESCO World Heritage-listed salt mine. It’s also possible to discover outstanding mountain scenery with a visit to the resort town of Zakopane in the Polish countryside, followed by a soak in the healing waters of a thermal bath complex.
