Itinerary
Meet your guide in Krakow’s Main Market Square in time for a 2pm departure and set out to explore the city’s UNESCO-listed Old Town.
Follow your guide down the Royal Route, and walk in the footsteps of the Polish Kings as you hear about Krakow’s stint as the royal capital. Pause to see historic landmarks such as St. Florian's Church, and admire the grand medieval buildings along Floriańska, Grodzka, and Kanonicza Streets.
Arrive at Wawel Castle and spend time exploring the magnificent castle complex, including the Cathedral, the Royal Chambers, and the Armory. Marvel at the Medieval, Romanesque, Renaissance, and Baroque architectural styles, and take in the views from the top of Wawel Hill, gazing out over the Vistula River and the gold-roofed Sigismund Chapel.
Continue to Rynek Główny, where the star attraction is the 13th-century St. Mary’s Basilica, home to an impressive altarpiece by Veit Stoss, and some striking paintings by artists including Matejko, Mehoffer, and Wyspiański. Nearby, St Peter and Paul’s Church is another important religious monument, build in the 17th century and still the most significant Jesuit church in Krakow.
After enjoying a coffee break (own expense) at a local café, visit one of the city’s most photographed landmarks – the elaborate Cloth Hall and the Underground Museum.
Your tour ends around 5pm back in the Main Market Square.

Just back from the most incredible walking tour of Kraków's historic city centre and I'm still smiling. 🏰✨ Our guide Gregory was absolutely phenomenal — his passion for the city's history is infectious, and the way he brought each landmark to life made it feel less like a tour and more like stepping into the pages of a history book. From the grand Main Market Square to the winding cobblestone streets of Kazimierz, every stop felt meaningful and perfectly paced. Gregory's storytelling had the whole group hanging on every word. If you're visiting Kraków, do yourself a favour — don't just walk around, walk around with Gregory. Hands-down one of the best travel experiences I've ever had!

Good tour, Joanna was our tour guide. She conducted the tour professionally and was very knowledgeable
David_I, May 2026
I booked a private tour for me and my wife and we enjoyed it very much. Our guide Joanna was very knowledgeable and showed us around the old town, explaining the key locations and history of the the area. We explored the back streets, the main square, stopped to see the hourly trumpeter at the top of the tower in the main square and finished the tour at Wawel Castle. Throughout our 3 hour walking tour, Joanna explained the history and significance of the places she showed us, such that when the tour ended we had our bearings and were excited to explore Krakow in more detail on our own.
It was an excellent way to start our visit to Krakow.

Private tour with a lovely guide. In February, wrap up warm. We were taken to the trumpeters bell tower, the Jewish quarter and Gog. The Wawel castle and the Cathedral.
Magdalena was knowledgeable and fun.
Melanie_S, Feb 2026
The tour was interesting unfortunately we had to cut it short as it was so cold and was to much standing around it would be perfect in warmer weather.
Angele_S, Dec 2025
Tour visited some historical sites. Guide did not wait for entire group before sharing facts. Guide was not mindful of participants when crossing streets that part of group did not male it accross due to traffic
In general was not mindful or attendant to group.
Tour is 3 hours be mindful when booking tour could continue after sundown.
Response from Host, Dec 2025
Dear Angele,
We are sorry to hear that you were not completely satisfied with our tour, specifically regarding the guide's behavior. We have already contacted her to remind her that the safety and satisfaction of the entire group, regardless of its size, is essential.
Our regular daily tour starts at 1:30 PM throughout the year. In December and January, the tour continues after sundown, allowing participants to enjoy the seasonal lights and decorations throughout the Old Town.
Kind regards,
SeeKrakow

Tour was cancelled due to heavy rain so I don’t know what it would have been like. The rain wasn’t that heavy so I was surprised it was cancelled.
Response from Host, Jul 2025
Dear Hazel,
We are sorry for the inconvenience. Your reservation has been cancelled, and we notified you in advance. The decision was made due to National Weather Alerts that predicted heavy rain, severe thunderstorms and possible flash floods. Magda did a very nice job leading us around Krakow Old Town and sharing her extensive knowledge of the city, culture and history. It was quite warm, and we are not youngsters so we opted to conclude the tour at the base of Wawel Castle rather than hiking up.
CynthiaF_D, Jun 2025
A very fast paced 3 hour tour. Do not expect to sit with this guide...even when seating was available close by stop. Suggest starting tour with the hill while fresh...may need to cut portion to allow stopping (maybe park area). Also offer WC option periodically.
Guide was knowledgeable.
Jean_J, Jun 2025

We really enjoyed our walking tour of Old Krakow with Krzysztof. He was very passionate about Polish history in general, and the history of Krakow in particular. We saw many sites around the town, it was a good orientation to see where things are and understand what you want to do. However, there is so much to do in Krakow, you can’t possibly see it all in a three hour tour.
Response from Host, Jun 2025
Thank you so much for your lovely review!
We're delighted to hear you really enjoyed your walking tour of Old Krakow with Krzysztof. It's wonderful that his passion for Polish and Krakow history shone through and made the experience special for you!
You're absolutely right, a walking tour is a fantastic way to get your bearings and decide what you'd like to explore further. Krakow certainly has so much to offer, and while a three-hour tour gives a great overview, it's impossible to see everything. That just means there's more to discover on a future visit!
We'd be thrilled to welcome you back to Krakow and SeeKrakow. Perhaps on your next trip, we could help you delve deeper into some of the areas that piqued your interest or show you another facet of our beautiful city!
Laura_C, May 2025

Warm regards from the SeeKrakow team!
