Hubert and Christopher, were fabulous. The trip itself was so emotional but 100% worth it and would totally recommend everyone experiences it. We had perfect information beforehand and throughout. We were even provided with a packed lunch which was yummy! Richard the tour guide was so interesting and knowledgeable- thank you, I am humbled by the experience.

Very well organised trip and wonderful service from all concerned. Transport was excellent, all very modern vehicles and things ran on time all day almost to the minute! The tour guide was outstanding, very knowledgeable and made sure everyone got from the visit what they wanted. A very emotional day enhanced by such good service and we highly recommend this company.

If you're staying nearby, we will arrange an alternative safe and convenient pickup location.

  • [WEATHER] The tour runs in all weather. Up to 70% of the visit takes place outdoors, so please dress appropriately and bring water on warm days.
  • [CHILDREN] Children must be accompanied by an adult. Infant seats are available. Due to the sensitive nature of the site, the tour is recommended for ages 13+.
  • [PHOTOS] Photography is allowed except in marked areas. Flash is not permitted inside buildings.
  • [RENOVATIONS] Due to roadworks in western Krakow, pickups in that area are not possible. The Straszewskiego 19 meeting point is temporarily closed. We will arrange a nearby alternative if needed.

Very well organised with good communication prior to the tour about pick up times from our accommodation in Krakow. Our driver, Gregorsz, was very helpful throughout and gave clear instructions about when and where to meet him both when at Auschwitz and then Birkenau. But most of the praise needs to go to Barbara, our tour guide. She was not only extremely knowledgeable about what had taken place at Auschwitz but also very insightful, providing us with a very nuanced understanding of the dynamics within a concentration camp such as Auschwitz. We can’t praise her enough! We only wish there had been a little more time, especially on the Auschwitz part of the tour, to be able to read more of the information on the boards throughout the camp but we also understand the need to keep to a timetable.

Tour left early without me

Was told an exact time to arrive - arrived 2 minutes before this time, found out the bus left 5 minutes before (from someone nearby waiting for a different bus). Actually didn't get any contact from the company until around 6 hours later. Got a refund the following day but doesn't change that it meant I didn't get to go to Auschwitz which I had come to Krakow specifically for. Not sure why you give such an exact time for pick up - if there's a pick up window and a chance the bus will leave earlier, this needs to be communicated to customers.

Absolutely brilliant tour. Of course quite upsetting, but unforgettable and necessary. The organisation and communication from Viator was superb. Absolutely fantastic experience, as I entered Auschwitz-Birkenau 1. A heaviness fell over me, the thought of so many souls losing Alice’s because of one man’s hatred is overwhelming. Was very informative. Understand we had to go with the flow because of the amount of people there but felt a little rushed when trying to listen to the guide and see memorial objects, pictures and information. The bus arrived right on time and Michal (guide) was very organised and pleasant. The trip was easy and well structured. Our tour guide through the camps was very well informed and spoke passionately about the experiences faced by the prisoners. She was very helpful and I appreciated her knowledge.

I did this with my mum and sister, we got picked up at the K&R stop which was very easy to find. The driver was fantastic, very accommodating and the tour guide herself was wonderful - she was very knowledgeable.

This was a good way to see Auschwitz and Birkenau. It was pretty crowded, with many tour groups, but very well organized, so never got bogged down. Tour guides were knowledgeable, and suitably reverent.

Although the travel to Auschwitz took some time, (1.45) the tour certainly made up for it. Our guide was outstanding & so knowledgeable regarding the history of both Auschwitz & Birkenau. This is a tour that everyone should take in my opinion.
