What are people saying about Krakow

We were contacted the day...
We were contacted the day before the trip by our driver Peter. It was a small group picked up by minivan. It was a little squashed as we were the last pick up and had to sit in the front with the driver. As I'm small this wasn't a problem but may be difficult for larger people. Peter was informative and pleasant. As English speakers the I information was easy for us to understand but must have been difficult for the Italian speakers in the group. Once we reached the Salt Mines we were splint into our own language groups. The actual tour was very good although it was a very long walk back to the lift to the surface which the tour guide didn't explain. Peter was waiting for us at the specified time for the return to Krakow. All in all a good experience.

We were contacted by our...
We were contacted by our driver Daniel the afternoon before our trip with details of pickup time and asked if we would like a packed lunch for 60zloty as there was limited time between the 2 tours. We had one which was sufficient and was as described and good quality. The transport was minivan and as the last pickup we were in the front with the driver. This was ok but not ideal as space was limited. The actual tour of Auschwitz was well done and the tour guide informative. I did feel the tour of Birkenau could have been just a little longer . The journey back to Krakow was uneventful and we were back in good time.

This was well worth the money. Guide was great. Highlight was the thermal baths. Would do this one on its own with more time. You can hire towels but do recommend bringing flipflop as a must. Zakopane is lovely with the main shopping street was lovely and remind of ski resort shopping. The view from the mountain was spectacular. We were so lucky with the weather sunshine every day

If you prefer to listen rather than read.
Natalia was very informative and I enjoyed the tour. The tour particularly suited my sister as she can suffer with migraines from reading museum signage. Natalia imparted the information allowing us to take the time to just look around each room while she told the stories.

Well-connected by road and public transport, Krakow is a perfect launch point for discovering other towns and cities in Poland. While you could set out on your own, booking an excursion that takes you around the country will help relieve the stress of planning. Day trips from Krakow include World War II-related sites—such as a former Nazi-operated concentration camp—and a UNESCO World Heritage-listed salt mine. It’s also possible to discover outstanding mountain scenery with a visit to the resort town of Zakopane in the Polish countryside, followed by a soak in the healing waters of a thermal bath complex.
