A Beautiful Day in Val d’Orcia with an Excellent Guide
Theresa was a fantastic guide. She shared information fluently in English and immediately translated everything into Spanish, making sure everyone could follow. One point that could be clearer in the tour description is that the commentary would be given in both English and Spanish. We had not understood from the booking information that everything would be translated into Spanish throughout the day.
My husband and I nevertheless had a wonderful day discovering Pienza and Montepulciano, visiting two traditional family wineries, tasting wines including Sangiovese and Brunello, and enjoying an excellent lunch at a restaurant Theresa had thoughtfully booked for us.
There was an unfortunate incident in Pienza when two travelers did not return to the bus at the agreed meeting time, despite being called for at the plaza. After waiting a few minutes, the group departed, but the bus ultimately had to return about 10 minutes later to pick them up. Theresa handled this stressful situation professionally and with genuine concern for the missing travelers. She should certainly not be blamed for travelers failing to arrive at the meeting point on time.
The organization by Ciao Florence could, however, be improved. A more accurate passenger list, maps showing clear meeting points, and a clear policy for late passengers would make the experience less stressful for both guests and guides.
Overall, a beautiful day in Val d’Orcia, and Theresa deserves special recognition for her professionalism, kindness, and dedication throughout the tour.

Take the tour!
Our guide, Olympia, was absolutely fabulous! This tour was a great intro to Venetian food culture. It allowed us to try out items that we probably would not have ordered ourselves, get questions answered on what to do and what not to do, and get great recommendations on where to go post-tour on our own. Great experience!

Fun way for solo traveler to spend an evening!
What a great way to spend an evening! Fun group of 12, 10 American, 2 Irish. Love you Ivan! We started out at a wine window, then a cute local restaurant for charcuterie board, and more wine, then to another restaurant for the famous bisteca Florentino, then to an authentic Gelateria. Our guide was fun and knowledgable

The views across Tuscany...
The views across Tuscany are stunning, with gorgeous, rolling landscapes everywhere you look. Be prepared for a good amount of walking, but it is 100% worth it—you get dramatic, up-close views of the vineyards that look like something straight off a postcard. The pace of the full day was great, and being able to soak in the countryside on foot made the experience feel so grounded and authentic.

A Must Do Tour!
This tour was amazing! We learned so much about the production of each of the three foods and had a great time at the lunch afterward. The tour guide’s familiarity which the workers at each location means the tour takes you into the depths of each factory. We had a blast with Elena and Roberta! They really make sure everyone has a good time!

Wine tour
Our tour guide, Giovanni was wonderful. He was full of such great information and history. The drive was wonderful. The two vineyards were wonderful and the wines were amazing. The town of San Gimignano was nice but the people of the town were so rude and made you feel unwanted there.

I highly recommend this...
I highly recommend this tour. You get to go 3 beautiful places and have a really nice lunch at a winery with a wine tasting. Our tour guide Marta was one of the best we have ever had. She was personable without being over the top. She gave clear directions on where the meeting points were and made it very easy to navigate. She gave you recommendations on what to do and where to eat at each stop. She even gave recommendations in Florence on the way back. Marta is a real asset and one of the highlights of this tour.

Wonderful experience!
We had a wonderful experience learning about the wines at Tenuta Adamo. Our guide was very knowledgeable and the wine was delicious. If you are not familiar with the area it is okay to drive over the bridge, we were confused at first but once you drive up to the winery there was plenty of space to park.

spectacular underground "Cathedral of Wine" experience
Our tasting tour at De'Ricci Cantine Storiche was nothing short of magical! It is easy to see why this is considered one of the most beautiful cellars in the world. The architecture and atmosphere alone are breathtaking, but the experience was made truly extraordinary by our guide, Emilio.
Emilio was amazing—incredibly engaging, knowledgeable, and passionate. He took the time to explain the history of the cellars and the nuances of each wine, making the entire tasting both educational and fun. He didn't just lead a tour; he provided us with a world-class experience.
If you are a wine lover or just appreciate incredible history and beauty, this tour is an absolute must. Highly recommended!

Great experience meeting point not clear
The Wine tasting was lovely however the meeting point was not clear at all - it’s tucked away. Other tours I’ve been on the meeting point was at the bus parking lot (where our guide actually led us to) and that was actually easier to find than meeting in the station. I would suggest someone waiting out of the ticked away place with a clear flag as it was a stressful start to the trip and also meant as a couple we couldn’t sit together on the bus.

Delicious wines in a charming setting
If you go here in the beginning of April, dress warmly! Host supplied blankets for all, but it was quite cold. Temperature aside, the host was engaging and entertaining. The vineyard is set in an idyllic area and the building is an absolutely charming trulli house. The wines were very good..along with the champagne. Snacks were provided between each tasting, and they were all made on site. The whole experience was a delight and the ride to get to the vineyard was beautiful through the countryside. I highly recommend this experience, but dress warmly!

An Unforgettable Evening of Food, Wine & Italian Charm
Her: We had a fabulous time this evening! Catia was so friendly and knowledgeable, and helped us with our Italian pronunciation, lol. The food and wine choices were very good, but save room for the gelato because it’s with it!
Him: Catia made the whole experience so much fun and entertaining. Her knowledge about the history of the area and Italy as a whole kept both of us involved and she was able to answer any questions we threw her way.
The food and wine we had on this tour was also very good but we don’t usually eat a lot so much of it went uneaten because we got full. But, we really enjoyed all of it. To top off the night we were taken to a Gelato place which everyone who takes this tour will thoroughly enjoy. A great end to the evening.
All in all we would both highly recommend this tour….especially with Catia as your tour guide.
