Beautiful small and rustic winery set high on green hills among vineyards. Interesting brief tour and education of the wine making process. Loved our hostess Dahlia! Wines were wonderful and their homemade olive oil outstanding, which was served with warm fresh focaccia. We purchased both the wine and olive oil. Highly recommend!

Amazing tour and tasting! The staff were so kind and knowledgeable about the wine, the region, and the wine making progress. Amazing value for what you receive. Would highly recommend. Super easy to get to by bus from Lucca as well.

Overview

Take a break from sightseeing and head to the hills surrounding Lucca to sample the area’s excellent wines. Absolutely amazing experience at Tenuto Adamo Winery! The setting is breathtaking with gorgeous Tuscan scenery all around. The tour was very informative, and we learned a lot about their winemaking process. The wines were delicious, and the focaccia with their olive oil paired perfectly. We also really appreciated the courtesy transportation arrangement—it made everything so easy. Overall, an excellent experience that I’d highly recommend to anyone visiting Tuscany!

It was a wonderful experience. The weather was a bit cool so I think we should have been moved inside. Difficult to hear the speakers and I think they were getting sick because of the cold. Wines and food were exceptional.

Very crowded. It felt like a complete tourist trap. The property was okay, but nowhere near as beautiful as the other vineyard we toured earlier that day. The guide basically had a rehearsed explanation of the wines that any beginner connoisseur could understand. Otherwise, any experienced wine enthusiast would be extremely disappointed. As far as the wines themselves, sadly we were disappointed too. The previous winery had amazing wines that had a wonderful bouquet on the nose and a complex palatal experience…… All of the wines that we sampled here were very bland in comparison. I’m very sorry such a bad review, but seriously we felt like cattle being herded through. If you want a true Tuscan wine experience, and not just Chianti, I would recommend looking elsewhere. The wineries around the Tuscan town of Montecarlo are second to none ! Plus, you get the added experience of visiting the actual town of Montecarlo on top of the mountain, which was breathtaking!

The winery was absolutely beautiful, small and intimate. The young girl who took on a tour was wonderful. We got a cheese boards with local meats too that was fantastic . Bought a case of wine and they shipped it to NY. There’s no reason to go anywhere else!!

It is a very small winery so the tour itself is very short and there are only 3 rooms. Having said that, our guide was engaging and knowledgeable about the process and the wines. We had 5 wines and the tasting glass was of reasonable size. The wines were also very good: there was none that I actively disliked and in the end I ended up buying a glass to enjoy and another bottle to take with me. For the price you pay it is extremely worth to do this tour.

Knowledgeable staff, good wines, & good views! Would recommend! There is also a pretty solid charcuterie board for extra $. More fun if you come wanting to a chat a little with your fellow tasters/ travelers! Thats what usually makes things like this the most fun anyways. The format of the explanation for the process of wine-making would’ve made more sense in chronological order and caused a little confusion as they jumped around the process even though no wine was being made. That said we figured it out amongst ourselves. A little tricky to get to without a car from Lucca, just plan ahead with the bus system to make it cheap.

Enjoyable afternoon was had at Tenuta Adamo, we tried 5 different wines and olive oil and foccacia. Our hosts were informative and fun . The lift back with Jon was great . Thank you all . Just wished there was a bit more information about the olive grove and oil production/process for my interest only .

This was a fantastic experience from start to finish. Myself and my wife booked this just the day before and the wine tasting was just divine, from the idyllic location to the beautiful wine that we tasted (1x Rose, 1x White & 3x Reds). Each wine was fantastic, and we ended up buying a bottle of red and a bottle of olive oil as it was so delicious. The route up to the winery is steep and right for the last 200m but the views are worth the journey. This experience is tremendous value for money and the cellar tour was also brilliant. I highly recommend 🙂
