Great family Outing
Great place to spend a few hours walking from building to building and ship to ship to learn all sorts of late 19th early 20th nautical lore from shipbuilding to coopersmithing to sailmaking, plus special exhibits on seafaring history. Kids especially liked the Lego exhibit and building w legos themselves as well as the Lego figure scavenger hunt around the 7 acre grounds.

Beautiful day
We enjoyed our time here. Spent about 2 hours and saw it all. Beautiful day and glad the majority is outside. Quick walk into Mystic afterwards.

Enlightening illustration...
Enlightening illustration of what life was like in the early 19th century New England whaling towns.

Loved it
It is outdoor and I really thought it waa indoor,it was like an old village not a museum that is indoors and I feel you don’t need too many hours there. I spent 1 hour there and saw everything.

My family with 2 teenagers enjoyed the Shipyard. We loved going into all the buildings and learning about the whaling ships. The water views were beautiful.

Seaport museum visit
This was a very informative and interesting experience. Our tour guide was not able to do the tour, so there was a volunteer who ended up giving us the tour and he was a wealth of information! I certainly hope someone is videotaping his commentary so that they can give it to visitors in the future!

A don’t miss if you are in the area!
We had never heard of this museum, but it looked interesting. It was awesome! It takes a minimum of 3 hours to see. We didn’t go to any of the scheduled activities, but got some great information at some of the trades displays. (Clock, printer, blacksmith, carver, cooper). The volunteers did a great job! This is great for families of all ages.

Wow... This place was way...
Wow... This place was way more vast than I expected. Just the Lego exhibit alone took a lot of time to explore!
Parking was easy and close.
Not a lot of places to find food but you can come and go with the wristband.
I love how many places there were to explore, go in and out of buildings and ships, and talk to people.
Great experience!

A great place to visit
This is a very interesting and immersive place, with a lot to do and see. You learn a lot about history and see how things used to be in early American life.

The museum was very interesting and informative. I have never studied or read of the history of whale hunting and after visiting the museum I had a better understanding of why they hunted the whales and the methods of the hunt. I would suggest to find and join up with free tours the museum has to offer.

Educational and amazing experience
This was our one of our favorite experiences on our mini vacation. It was very inclusive of all ages and we could have spent another day here.
