  • Baker Park is a great spot for families. Not only are there several areas for children to play in, but lots of space for kids to run around and burn off some energy.

  • Keep an eye out for ducks and geese, which often visit Culler Lake. Many people give them bread, but that’s a big no-no. If you want to feed them, stick to lettuce or kale, broccoli, corn (not popcorn), rice, or non-citrus fruits.

  • The Maryland sun is strong in the summer, so be sure to bring a hat and sunscreen.

  • Don’t miss the Swinging Bridge, a picturesque suspension footbridge. It’s a popular site for photographs.

  • History buffs should check out Schifferstadt Architectural Museum, a well-preserved German colonial home from the mid-18th century, located at the northern end of the park. It can be visited by guided tour.
