Amazing experience and well worth the price for our family of 6. Multigenerational. Ages 19-79. Our driver Alessio gave great recommendations and shared links with directions on what to visit in each stop. When driving he shared history and local information. He dropped us off very close to the city center in each town so that we didn’t have too much walking in. What a great day!

Worth it

I highly recommend doing a small group or private when it’s a food tour and to do it on the first day. Our guide, Gabriel was great, has been living in Florence for 15 years and knew the smaller, quality, less touristy places to go. Besides the food, our guide gave us a nice highlight of the sites to see and advice to avoid some lines and crowds.

The experience was as promised with good and thoughtful information provided about the art and history. When you receive final meeting information, one should be aware that there is an additional 20 Euros fee per person for the entry ticket, which is not included in the price - this surprised me. Children are 4 Euros. The tour take one hour and truly enhances the experience. If it is a low season, you might get a timed entry at the gallery itself if you don't mind a little wait.

Great private tour!

The tour with Samuele was wonderful and he is so knowledgeable about the Florence and Tuscany areas. He gave us a lot of information and facts about the areas we did not know about. It was a fantastic end to a long trip to Greece and other parts of Italy and it was nice to have the private tour with him in a very comfortable van.. He is a great driver too!

Irina is a scholar. Her subject matter expertise so warmly conveyed, and easy to follow, covers the late 14th century (Giovanni) and his patronage of Baldassare Cossa who becomes Pope John XXIII thru Cosimo I, II, III, Lorenzo, Guiliano, the wives, mistresses and culminating with Anna Maria Ludovica de Medici (middle of the 18th). Her presentation was extremely well organized and supplemented by photos off her iPad - exceptional. The tour was like an easy to digest graduate-level course of the times, architectural and artistic significance of the chapels, including the source countries and regions of all the marble adorning the chapel. We learned so much and moreover my wife and I were able to discuss it later at dinner in great detail. Highly recommend. An enduring memory, A+

This is a must due tour in Florence for anyone visiting. Whether it’s your first trip or your 6th (like mine) - it is a MUST! We loved every minute of it. Our guide Francesco was so informative and passionate that the excitement radiated from him and was infectious. My absolute favorite tour I’ve ever done in the city of Florence. This was my honeymoon. It was my wife’s first time in Florence and my 6th time and we both absolutely LOVED every minute. Will recommend to everyone. Her knowledge of the history of Florence as well as the key families that shaped the growth of Florence was very well articulated. It made all the difference in our understanding and enjoyment of the city. Martina took the time to understand what we were interested in and planned our walk around our interests. She patiently answered our questions and frequently checked in with us during the tour to ensure we were getting what we wanted and the pace of the tour was really up to us. At the end of the tour she provided us with recommendations for restaurants, wine windows, shopping, and other areas of interest in Florence. Thank you Martina for such a wonderful tour!
