Irina was a great guide. She came with a tablet full of illustrations to show us as she talked. Very knowledgeable and continuously pointed out things to see that we would have missed without her guidance. Our questions were answered immediately and in depth.

We were able to be some of the very first people to enter in the early morning tour with our private guide, Irina. We were able to walk right up to David, take unobstructed photos, and see every detail Irina explained right up close. (Just 20 minutes later the room was packed with visitors and getting close would have been impossible!) She was incredibly knowledgeable and truly brought the history and process to life. She’s an amazing guide and I will be pointing my friends who travel to Florence straight to her. Don’t hesitate to book this one!

This tour was exceptional. Irina was really friendly and knowledgeable. There is no way we would’ve experienced David and the other works in the gallery were we to have done this tour on our own, and without her adding all of the extra insights that she did.
If you come to see David, you should absolutely do so with a guide. And if you do, you should book this tour with her.

I cannot imagine touring the Galleria dell’Accademia without our guide Irina. To say she was spectacular is an understatement. My wife and I have been on many tours throughout Europe and they're usually miserable -- a couple dozen people, you can hardly hear the guide, you certainly don't get the chance to ask the guide many questions. Honestly, it's a bit of a waste. Irina's tour was the exact opposite. My wife and I booked a private tour with her, and it was just the three of us. Her English was impeccable, and she navigated the site like a true insider. We saw things we would have missed had we tried it alone. She was patient and unbelievably knowledgeable, spending as much or as little time as we wanted at a particular exhibit. I'm not exaggerating when I say she made the trip an unforgettable experience. Should we ever return to Florence, we certainly will book a tour with Irina again. Thank you so much!

10/10 recommend! Outside the museum was absolutely crazy and she helped to get into the museum in less than 5 min. She shared a lot of little known information and never missed an opportunity to give her own insights into the David. Good balance between sharing information and allowing time to take in the art work. The experience would have been totally different without her. She supplied head sets so it was very easy to hear her even amidst all the other sounds.

Irina was an amazing tour guide! She texted with us before the tour started so we knew what time to arrive, where to meet, and how long the tour would take. The tour guide makes all the difference between seeing the exhibit and experiencing it, learning the background and pointing out all of the nuances that are more subtle but very important to a full understanding of the sculptures and paintings you're looking at. We learned so much with our guide. Details we never would have known about. Went to the front of the line and she was able to maneuver us around all the tours inside. She also used her I Pad to help educate us about Michelangelo and David. She was so knowledgeable and passionate.

We weren’t sure what to expect from a guided tour of the Accademia Gallery (home of Michelangelo’s David), but now we can't imagine doing it any other way. Skipping the long line was a great perk, but the real magic came from our guide, Irina. As an art history major, her passion and knowledge were infectious—she brought Michelangelo’s work and life to life in a way that was engaging, informative, and incredibly memorable.
We learned so much more than we ever would have wandering through on our own, especially about the history of David—from his creation to the extraordinary lengths taken to protect him over the centuries. He's been through quite a lot, and knowing the history makes you appreciate the masterpiece even more!
And while there were no pop quizzes on this tour, we actually did ace a quiz question on another tour thanks to Irina’s insights about Michelangelo studying anatomy in the crypt 😄
Highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting Florence. It’s a truly enriching experience you won’t forget.
